RC Sail Control

Video number 8 of the series for building a scale radio-controlled sailboat of the Beneteau Oceanis 37, is a DIY project in which I show how to make an RC sailboat from scratch using 3d modeling based on images top and side of the model, then designed a creates molds using 3d printing.
In this episode, I will show the cabin hatch finished, the assembly for the mast as well different pulleys, also the assembly of the traveler and the genoa trimmer.

Hi Thanks for your comments, the design program there are different ones like blender, 3dsmax and others like fusion360 or FreeCat these ones more parametric than the others, you can write me on the comments, people on my channel also have good ideas and can comment over, best.

Hi Domingo, I'm working on another yacht, for the mast I'm considering to use carbon tubes. On the tubes I'm going to place 3d printed mockup, which will give shape for the mast. Tubes are 14mm and 12mm diameter, bottom tube goes into Hull then 12mm is going into 14 mm tube on the height of 1m. There will be some overlap between tubes about 15-20cm - mast in my case is 1.7m. Carbon tube gives rigidity and 3d print shape. It is concept so far but I will try it and can share results.

I like that idea to test. Also carbon tubes should be more available that those specific scale aluminum mast.
