Well kind sir, I live in the land of GM trucks, grew up with them, used to work on them for a living, owned an old '72 for many a year and I can tell you first hand that you have done your scale job well. I've been messing with RC and static models for a long while too. For what it's worth that looks like a slightly scrappy old 1:1 without a lot of ridiculous mods done to it that I would like to own. It definitely has those moments where in still shots one would have to look again to make sure it's not a 1:1 and it looks very real in video too. You're making me pine a bit for my long gone trusty old '72 C10 that I hammered on for years as a work and play truck and that I will someday do an RC homage to.Seriously a nice job!

Congratulations with building a truck that must be among the best looking trails trucks I can remember seeing in a long time! Especially the colour combination, tailgate window, interior, back seat, licence plates and tires/wheel combo is perfect to give this car the realistic and time look of a 78' Blazer. Have you though of adding a sound unit and exhaust pipes too? The rumbling of a V8 would suit this rugged trail truck perfectly. Cheers.

having a driver is a must thing but having a v8 and license plates works every time and the cool blazer love the color dam sweet it is just takes time to get there your never really done

Right on it's hard to find a driver that fits this body because it's pretty big. I was looking at 12" figures for mine may need to cut and custom fit but just asking be for I buy. Thank you for getting back to me cheers buddy

Love the look! Adjust your gear mesh on motor, it's to tight, why it has that straining sound. Probably get a minute or so longer run time, and longer lasting gear train and less noise. Use 2sheets thick paper adjust and tighten then fish out paper pieces

You're probably looking at around $500 for the standard kit. You then need to add radio gear, servo, battery, motor, ESC which will vary depending on quality but expect to pay around I would guess $250+.

I like it. very nice. did they use the tf2 chassis or the defender? looks like tf2. I personally think they should have widened the stance stock just a hair for your setup. I have a tf2 and love it. my most used rc lol just I keep stripping the diffs :/ do any yall have suggestions on different setup or upgrade to help prevent it?

+Retrocosm I still havnt upgraded the stock driveshafts. for the fact that the u joint could act as a fail point if anything is bein overturqued u kno? but it's just in my front diff.dont know if anything sized or got loose, tore it apart all bearings were still free and the internalls were moving freely. so idk if I just replace the internals or if there's a different setup that's better?

+Chris Castillo Just sounds like really bad luck. I run a lot of the axles and haven't had a failure yet. Perhaps just rebuild, check everything is running smoothly before use. You could also check over at the RC4WD forum, there's a TF2 section there with lots of team drivers who might be able to give better advice.

Retrocosm - Off Road Scale RC What's the best motor for speed and Rock crawling in brushless or brush ? and good servos

I use brushed motors, I personally like Tekin and Holmes Hobbies, though they are more expensive. There are plenty of cheap alternatives, GoolRC make some very nice motors that are cheap. As far as servos go I tend to use Savox mostly and also some from Hitec.

Cheers, yes it's from RC4WD. It wasn't too tricky, masking the side stripe and the chrome surround took the longest. There are links to build threads in the information above which have some details of the painting process.
