Not sure what ya mean brother about Washers on the droop screws? Has Arrma started using them under the droop screws? Honestly this video is VERY old (check some of my new stuff) and this is a v3 Kraton that came with terrible droop screws. I use the M2C Droop Screws because they are the best. But I know arrma has better ones now but not as good as the M2C ones. Hope your enjoying the channel bro, see ya round

@@007nubber oh I just used the standard button head (rounded lines) from arrma (6s kit) think they are 3m... Whatever ones fit the hole to be fair. Two per arm as there are 2 holes. @3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but not in the same was as a basher. The arms on a street rig usually don't go down much to worry about over extending, but the droop screws 9n a street rig would be used to set ride heights and limit suspension travel for speed runs. All depends if it actually has droop screws or not. Arrma rigs have them typically on all their rigs. Great question brother, hope your enjoying the channel, see ya round

Appreciate the support brother, glad you are enjoying the channel. Yeah some of my older videos like this have so many views but done old editing style 😕 I just finished my RC KZbin studio with proper lighting you can see it incomplete in my XMaxx video. You can use the stock Mojave droop screws but I DON'T like them as they dig into the chassis more than the M2C ones I show off in my most recent video for the RPM Droop screw fix. The M2C ones are awesome, fully reccomend! They don't damage or dig into the chassis😎👍 Thanks again for your kind words brother See ya round

Great tips on droop setting. I have a mojave exb, and I've been asking for people to measure their droop/ up travel so I can reference it. My stock truck has gone thro two sets of diff our drives, both on the same side. It happens over one or two sessions. I'm worried about up travel and shock rod length. Unfortunately there is no stock settings to look at for that info. Any help would be appreciated. I think it could be droop related so i took a lot of droop out. I just don't wanna ruin another our drive
@3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 3 жыл бұрын
Ok so two different things going on here. First, just follow my guide for taking droop out, you only need to take out a bit no matter the truck. But what your having happen is dogbone popping out because of too much UP travel, that's not droop and taking more droop out will not help that. Try adding a small bump stop at the bottom of the shock shaft above the shock rod end. You can use some thick plastic tubing or a few thick plastic spacers or somthing. Point is this will restrict the arm travel up a little bit (reducing droop stops arm going down). On big Compression the arm is compressing too much and popping out the dogbones and messing up the drive cup.... That has happened to me as well on my Mojave EXB. Add some bit of bump stops should help. The Talion comes stock with bump stops. Appreciate the kind support, glad your enjoying the channel... See ya round brother Hope this helps
@codywichman213
@codywichman213 3 жыл бұрын
@@3SonsRC thanks for the reply. I will definitely set a small bump stop. Maybe two mil should work. Also any info on the lsd diffs. I'm looking for tips on fluid and different lsd plate arrangements
@3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 3 жыл бұрын
@@codywichman213 you can't mess with the lsd arrangements as they lock together specifically. So leave those as stock. I just don't go as thick a diff fluid as I might go because you need to let the lsd plates do their job. So in a situation where I might go 500k I might go 3-400 with LSD's..... If I would normally go 50k in front I might go 40k instead with LSD's.... My 2 Cents.

I have a v5 Kraton 6s and the droop screws are already the button head type. I adjusted mine just a bit to lower my vehicle for speed runs to be better planted. Along with adjusting the ride height with the shock screws, i have about 2" of clearance from chassis to the ground. I like my Kraton a bit lowered. I dont really bash and plus i dont like the jacked up stock look of the Kraton with the 5" of ground clearance.
@3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the newer Arrma rigs moved to these type a screws.... I think they saw my video😂🤣 Even better are the M2C ones as they are completely rounded no hex, these still dig slightly especially into the cheaper metal Arrma uses not as much into a m2c chassis. I don't like that "lifted" look either, most rigs handle like crap like that. Even my XMaxx I unwind the collers all the way to the top so it's center of gravity is lower👌 Appreciate your time brother, hope your enjoying the channel... See ya round

Brilliant video & by far best explanation of Arrma Droops on KZbin! I got a set of the suggested arrma button head screws! Can they be fitted without taking A Arms off?
@3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, that means a lot! Thanks for your time and kind words. Yeah you do have to take the arm off. The chassis has a little dog ear underneath that gets in the way. You can try taking the shock off and putting the are fully compressed and from underneath see if you can screw it out. Not sure if it will work though. I have always just installed them when performing other maintenance like rpm arms or getting at the diff. Give it a shot but I don't think so.

Depends on what version.... If it has no head underneath where it comes in contact with the chassis just put some 3mm button heads there.... Even better though are the M2C Droop Screws for Arrma 6s, they can be adjusted from on to and have a perfect big flat mushroom head that does not dig into the chassis at all. This is a super old video.... Hope you enjoyed it, but check out some newer ones brother..... Hope your enjoying the channel, see ya round

Great video on that. Never knew that's those scews will work hopefully on my EXB Kraton. My rig actually came with those scews from factory, but the EXB manual says it's the pointy ones which are ar724412. Anyways just subscribe 👍
@3SonsRC
@3SonsRC 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your time buddy, Yeah those pointy screws come stock on all Arrma rigs and they tear up the chassis and actually change your droop settings because the dig in☠️. I have since moved over from the screws in this video to the M2C Droop Screws that are much better and a complete dome on one end! No hex no button head at all, and they screw from the Top side, here is a link check them out. m2cracing.net/cars-and-trucks/500-m2c-9131-droop-screw-solid-mushroom-head-style.html Appreciate Your time and kind support...and for the Sub, I will see ya round, lots of other videos I hope you enjoy brother.
