Dude! Thank you SOO MUCH!’ THANK YOU!!!🙏. Bro I’ve been building FWD Drag Hondas mostly all motor setups. I NEVER had an RC car in my life. Until a couple months ago. I started watching speedrun videos and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I thought I was making a good purchase, but my first RC car November 2023 - TT02 Clone. I learned a lot from building that to get over 100. I only managed 97mph the. Destroyed it. Now I rebuilt it but it sits as a clean built car. NOW I’m working on a Arrma Vendetta and when I bought it, it went on sale and was discontinued. I really thought from my little research that I was getting a baby limitless that can take some bumps. I felt like okay, I can get better with this then move up but now I see first hand that the vendetta is nowhere near the chassis a limitless is. Now I’m trying to break records with the vendetta. Money. Is no object. I can afford the biggest baddest setup money can buy. But WHt do I do?!?! So far I put a 44T Spur w/slipper eliminated. Then also put a 32T pinion. Then I did all the other mods. Alloy control arms, tie rods, hubs, shocks. Carbon front and side splitters. Carbon rear winglets. Carbon bat wing for speedrun “design”. Carbon chassis brace. Hot racing driveshaft. All metal gear/motor housing. Eddys ceramic bearings throughout. But I’m still on the stock esc and motor. Only because I don’t know what to put!! I get so confused and can’t make a decision. Then I said okay. 1717 and castle MMX8s. Then I said wait… this won’t fit,? Bro. If you can tell me what would you do if it was your vendetta? Should I do the 17mm hex ? And run GRPs like everyone has told me? I bought dBoots 2.4 silvers. I want to try and keep the car as an actual vendetta. Meaning. Not cutting up the body to look all shitty just to fit oversized ugly wheels and tires. I want to build a TRUE Vendetta that goes 170 plus. That’s my goal. Anything you can help me with. Please 🙏. You’re a straight shooter so I know you’ll tell me what you truly think. Again. Long message, but I bought a 120 amp spektrum just to run 4s. I haven’t installed it yet. I want to see how fast can I truly get it on 3s with stock electrical and motor? But again. I keep hitting LVC and it goes limp like a 99 yr old pornstar. 😂. Help me!

Your on the right track. All the speed parts look great, but aside from titanium drive shafts, not super useful. Ceramic bearings, tp scm motors rated for higher rpm than the castle system. I just built a limitless, but I did a fire team sleeper that's a bad boy. To will out torque anything. Silver hoons will tear apart around 120-140. Go foams.ive built a couple drag cars that are doing 75-85mph in 132ft.

Last time i did a speed run was back in the day with the d5 flatliner brushed motor. My jrxs type r hit 74.6... im excited for getting back in it. Everything you said in this vid is the same thing i thought about back then. Im shooting for records and not gonna stop till i get there

Bro, thanks for all the great straight up info! 😎👍 Tip on bearings (sure you already know), replace your stock bearings with ceramic bearings, trust me, it's WORTH the extra $, specially in the speedrun game. I just busted my Typhon's 6S original BLX motor after running it for a little over a year, rotor got shredded due to a crack in on e of the magnets. But guess what, the bearings were intact, super smooth!! I did speed running & bashing with 6S on that puppy, never cleaned it, just straight up abused it cuz I was planning on replacing it with something better. I do have a Castle MM2 in it, but just because I didn't like the BLX ESC. Anyways, the 1st thing I replaced on that car was the motor bearing & wheel bearings. Switched them all to ceramic and a little over year later, they're still mint! I do want to ask you something though. I use a RadioLink controller with the R7FG receiver, which gets 1900' range. I'm still kinda new to the speed run game, only been doing it for maybe about 1.5yr, learning as I go. Right now, the controller seem to have excellent range, to the point where I can barely see the car & yet I can get it to turn around & come back. You mention that certain controllers helped you get them higher #s. Is that just because you had more road to play with or because of the throttle response. I just picked up an Arrma Limitless, running stock gearing (27T/34T) & Castle MM8Xs with the new Castle sensored 1717/ 1650Kv motor. I have only done a few runs but the highest speed I'm getting is 97mph. When I look at the data log, it almost looks like it's going into cutoff mode & then spiking back up again. I'm really trying to get up to speed as slowly as possible but yet quick enough to get close to full throttle when I hit the 3/4 way of the run. I mean, exactly how slowly do I need to climb up to avoid the ESC going into cutoff mode? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for this great vid! 😎👍

Thanks for pointing this out about Castle motors the Castle 2200 and 2650 are some nice old school motors I have put those motors where a lot of TP motors are running now. It is not because of me it is the well-built design of Steve Neu and Castle, the motors are stronger than people give them credit for. I love the TP power motors no question but if all you have is an old Castle motor anyone can be fast with it too
