I'm 69yrs. old and i've had my abrams for about 8yrs. and drive it on a 2s lipo and it rips over anything! the smoke and realistic engine sounds are scale. it had a plastic track variant for less but i play with mine... 30yrs. old yer late in the game, i started at 9 yrs. with H.O. scale slot cars that i still have! have fun yungsta!!!!

I've had MANY of these over the years and still have my almost all metal King Tiger. It's been upgraded as much as possible with a detailed engine, exhaust smoke system is upgraded, it says 10 different phrases in German, shoots, and is completely waterproof now. My King Tiger has more miles on it than any real King Tiger ever had. It also has WELL over $1000 in upgrades and weighs just over 22lbs.

So cool dude, I still remember my tin wind-up tank in the 50’s with rubber treads, shooting sparks from the barrel. I was stationed in Wurzberg Germany with the 3rd infantry division back in 68. The barracks were the home of the 11th panzer division during the 2nd. WW. Panzer is the word for tank for those that don’t know. The motor pool where the tanks were serviced still intact and used by our 5/4 ton trucks.

I have the Heng Long Tiger tank with plastic track and wheels from 2006 and it still works great , We had a Queensland Healer dog and she used to be scared as heck of the Tiger.

The best part about henglongs is that they're very upgradable, most people throw everything inside and replace them with aftermarket parts, it's a good entry level tank for beginners

So when you run out of the BBs you can find them at your local Airsoft shop. I use and recommend the biodegradable BBs. When you run out of smoke oil you can usually find it at your local model railroad shop and usually in different exhaust smells like like diesel, exhaust smell or coal exhaust smell or gasoline exhaust smell for the exhaust smoker on your tank. Also there is always the Internet.

Thanks for the review. Definitely looking at getting some of these tanks. Do you think the grass getting caught may be due to the drive wheels on the abrams being in the back vs the tiger's drive wheels being in the front? Also, I read somewhere that sunlight interferes with the IR and saw some people on etsy selling like some sort of shade or something for the IR receivers.

These firing 1/16 tanks has been around a long time. My first 1/16 Tamiya rc tiger bought around year 2000 was better overall compared to the Chinese Heng Long but the added features HL such as smoke and air soft main cannon made them more available at at considerable lower price. I’m glad many more companies are making them.

I’m 62 and have the Tiger, Panther and the Walker Bulldog all three shoot air soft pellets had plastic running gear but I ordered metal running gear for each tank. Why because I would be running them outside so they would get better traction. Once the metal gear went on they would never be ran indoors again, the reason hardwood floors didn’t want to have to strip them to refinish them because it’s all scratched up.

Put thread lock on the screws holding the sprockets on the tiger. They fall right off.

Maaan i want bullet traces on them, ricochet, make it look battle hardened. Used to have one, add some weight to it, balanced so the suspension will look way more realistic.

I hv a henglong tiger 1 t34-85 and a kv 1s and ive weathered and created battle damaged. All hv metal gear boxes the t34 and kv 1s hv metal road wheels and the tiger 1 and kv1s hv metal tracks

So RC tanks should be at least a little heavy. If it’s too light then it will bounce over the the terrain like a RC buggy instead of it going straight and watching the suspension work the way it should.

I have the modified Abrams. 360 turret, metal tracks, all metal gears, upgraded battery, etc. So awesome, but I got mine FAR, FAR cheaper on Amazon. Motion Rc is outrageously overpriced on most things.
