My Dad was one of your rescue guys! He loves getting out there and doing that. Shout out to Brian in the Blue Jeep doing the winching! SNORR is awesome!

I like the off-roading content. Nice to see you out adventuring even though it wound up being additional work.

Hopefully we cross this current hurdle and I get to really take the build to the next level exterior wise. I still don't have the Hummer running again. The 5.13 gear sets are on backorder I am being told
@jbcope10003 ай бұрын
@KnightDriveTV it would make a beefy recovery vehicle if you joined SNORR. A hummer might be needed seeing how difficult it was to get you out. Keep getting out there and having fun, whether on the track or trail. Burnout will steal your soul.

Still havent fixed it...gears on backorder. No word on if the Duramax survived yet
@bluemagnum50053 ай бұрын
@@KnightDriveTV I've thought about the Duramax but I only have 135,000 miles so I will wait. Keep up on all the good work your putting out there

I have a white h2 on 40's also. Same set up with the exception of a supercharged 6.0. I added RCV front axle shafts and a rear carrier bearing support. Looks like your diff bushing was shot. I upgraded those also. Good luck with the project, I will be following!

Working on it. 5.13 gears on backorder, slowing the process of repair down a lot

Still waiting on gears to be off backorder. Hope to be rolling again and continue development. Many surprises coming ahead for the H2, that other H2 owners will want to see...for sure

The truck is sitting...gears are on backorder so no progress at all. I am waiting for arrival of resupply to try and get it running again

I know im just sitting on my couch but i bet if you would have pulled the truck back it would have shifted it back into place
@KnightDriveTV2 ай бұрын
Backwards creates upward lift, forward settled it. It was shown in the vid. Couldnt start the vehicle though due to the oil evacuating everywhere so it had to be pulled out. Definitely couch...lol. I did everything that could be done. Had the engine oil cooler not been destroyed, I couldve drivin it out in 2wd for sure, once winched up the hill
@cyclelove97753 ай бұрын
Moral of the story, do the work yourself. Also, why not just bring a new oil cooler/filter adaptor with you and swap on site? It’s a really quick/easy fix, then you could start the engine and rotate diff, install missing washer and drive out casually.
@KnightDriveTV3 ай бұрын
Hindsight is always 20/20 as is armchair quarterbacking...no offense. The vehicle was left on the trail, and the oil coolers were on GM back order. I did get the upgraded unit from Banks Engineering, 2wks later. That's beside the point though, because the actual damage wasn't able to be observed until returning to the vehicle and truly doing an assessment of what's actually happened. This vehicle is on forestry land, so leaving it there for a week or more...many consequences can result from that. There was no time to assess, fix, buy parts, etc. This was pulled out the day after. On the do your own work...I couldn't agree more. As a shop owner for 20yrs, while things will always fail when tested, the quality of work you get these days, from shops that charge top dollar, is an atrocity. I truly don't understand how the masses have modified vehicles, depending on these shops who employ clowns. Unfortunately, my business is in a phase, where my time is too in demand, for me to be working on the Hummer. As a result, there is a price to be paid, and this is the price...big loss, major inconvenience, damages, etc. Las Vegas makes it VERY hard to have 3k-12k sq/ft shops like I am used to, so my space is very limited, and my Corvette business entirely consumes that space. I have to make my choice.

@@KnightDriveTV I wasn’t trying to solicit a response, but much respect to you for taking the time to leave one. Obviously if you had just fixed it on the trail, it wouldn’t have created the content you have here either, so I see the benefit that way aswell. As far as the shops, it’s getting kind of depressing. When I was a young guy working in independent shops and dealers, I would almost say I looked up/aspired to be at one of these shops that does custom work. When I had my own shop, suddenly I was flooded with customers that had been elsewhere and either didn’t get their vehicle issues cured or were even just turned away because the shop “doesn’t work on those vehicles” etc. I’ve done the same and paid another shop to build a diesel engine for me, when my own shop was too busy for me to handle already. I ended up walking the first trip I took in that truck.
