I'm starting to think that Roger is the Johnny Appleseed of Band-Maid music! Thanks, Roger for your efforts. These five wonderfully talented young Japanese women are a gift to the world. We Band-Maid fans call ourselves Maidiacs and we all thoroughly love this band. Many (or most) of us are older men who have realized that Band-Maid is the band that plays the great hard rock music we grew to love. Do yourself a favor and start reacting to more of their songs. You will love the music, you will gain new followers and friends on the internet, and you might even begin to feel more youthful as an old geezer like myself. You can react (literally) to any Band-Maid song and be happy. By the way Band-Maid is one of the best LIVE bands anywhere. I (in my old age) have been to two of their concerts this past year. Best concerts I have been to in decades!!!!! "Domination", the official live video, is the first song that got me (and many others) hooked on the band. Their performance and presence is a wonderful thing to behold!!!!!

BAND_MAID are an epic live band. This was song #27 out of 33 at their 10th anniversary tour finale at Yokohama arena last November.. Great venue, cool stage setup, and one AMAZING light show. They put in a crazy amount of work preparing for this and it really showed. The original version doesn't have the guitar duel. They wrote it to play live on this tour. 😁

And a thing about the maid outfits, Robert: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!

The bassist (Misa) is in fact the tallest in the group, at 5' 7". The drummer (Akane) is 5' 6". The singer (Saiki) is 5' 4". The lead guitar (Kanami) is 5' 2". And the rhythm guitar (Miku) is 5' 1". And that bass guitar is a five string.

Yeah, the lyrics to this are prime verbal abuse. They are also a bit of an anomaly for this band. Generally the lyrics are written by 2nd guitar/2nd vocals Miku Kobato, and they tend to be poetical and a bit abstract, especially in translation. But lead guitarist Kanami Tono brought this tune in, saying she was angry when she wrote it and it needed angry lyrics. Lead singer Saiki Atsumi wrote these, and definitely succeeded in making them angry. By the way, Bassist MISA likes to perform in bare feet.
