That cars obviously had a hard life! You have got your work cut out there mate! Great to see another vintage getting saved /given a new lease of life. Always such a great sense of achievement, especially when they are in that kind of condition. Looking better already, looking forward to seeing how this project turns out fella! 👍 👍 👍 👍

@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC No rush matey, savour the rebuild.... I always take my time on restorations, enjoying every single step. Will be awesome seeing it go from a rusty, scratched up incomplete retired race car to being back out on your track reincarnated! 😊 👍 👍 👍

Yea...should make for a nice 6 gear runner. Shooting for that pre "rc10 graphite" hopped up buggy.

Man, I bet there were some choice words used in the removal of some of that hardware! That stuff was crunchy! I am glad you got it all apart with ruining any of the car parts, hardware is much easier and cheaper to replace! Looking forward to the next episode and where it goes from here!

So very rusty! Was shocked to be honest. That last rear screw actually welded itself into the carbon. On the up side of the rebuild now. Coming along good. Appreciate it as usual my friend.

I love it! I know as a restoration the peroxide bath is tempting, but for a runner, if it were my RC, i would keep the beautiful patina :) Definitely keep doing it your way though, I would love to see what a peroxide bath could do as well. Got half of my backyard RC track built with a tiller and a hoe... dang thats a lot of work! lol still a lot of fun throwing the grasshopper and midnight pumpkin around it to test it out as it goes

Nice! Wishing you good luck on getting it done. The hard work will pay off bud. Not sure of the direction I am going yet...I have a set of runner Andy's arms that have been itching to hit the track again...lol.

@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC at the end of the day, it's exciting to see anyone take a rusty lump of RC10 trash and turn it back into a running vintage. Looking forward to part 2, no matter what direction you go :)

3:24 Brand new here to your channel. Do you have a decent TIG welder? That would make easy work of the motor mount.

Maybe you should soak the A-Arms in 3 + 1 oil listen up that rust.
