Hi After looking at numerous Defenders here in England I notice just how small the tyres really are.. The best ones I've found to date are the wheels and tyres from a Tamiya Pajero sport.

Heh, most Land Rovers here are either farm vehicles or poser rides that only go shopping. Less than 1% will ever see off road use.

Those large tires look good on it! But once you start adding optional accessories on the body, like roof rack heavier bulbar bumper with winch,!well you know what I mean!! You gonna have a lot of issues with them rubbing against the fender flares. Unless you modify and enlarge the fender flares you won't have no issues. I got mine just the way it came with the dirt grabber 1.9 and once I added all those accessories it kind it looks right. But everyone's got their own taste, cool video though👍

How are the King shocks going. I ask as I have a set of 80mm and 90mm Kings and I am just about finished the build and ready to try out the best shock wheel tyre Combination? Great video help me out keep them coming.

I didnt like them too much. Needed different springs for them when i ran them on my D110. Mine leaked a lot as well, but I go them second hand.

@@RCeveryday damn im really confused now, I've been told by multiple people on facebook today who run 1.9s with an outer diameter of 4.3, the mud slingers in your video are 4.11 outer diameter and they look about the limit

Hmm, yeah, as a scale tire, the 1.9's seem to me to represent a low profile. Which is not always ideal off road, and deffo not ideal for any kind of full size rock crawling performance in my opinion. I prefer the scale looks to anything else, and don't even mind the narrow ones if they look good. They can always run on some slightly wider wheel hexes to improve side to side "balance". But I'm trying a few different ones on my RC4WD Land Rover 90, as the wheels that came with it, pre owned, are too showy for my liking, with their 20 gold chromed looking pretend bead lock bolts all round the rim! 🙄 One of these years I want to build a 1948 Landy and that would need some really narrow tires, almost like the agricultural looking ones on a 1940s Willys Jeep, a 1/10 scale version of which I will probably buy before the end of not too long a time! 😁

i beg to differ,as the d90 body is closer to 1/9 scale, the 1.5 rims look too small.

Those are the stock RC4wd 1.55 stamped steel wheels with mud thrashers. The same tires that come on all Trailfinder 2s

Offset is the depth of the wheel from the hub of the axle how far the wheels stick out

On most of the stamped steel bead locks you disassemble it and put the hub on the shallow side.
