Very nice looking rig, no one should expect a "scaler" to be a comp rig it handles the outdoors like a 1-1 if you want to rock crawl with your daily driver you'll need to mod the hell out of it😅 thanks for sharing.

I picked up the kit version of this model on the recent Father’s Day sale for $350 shipped. It was too good of a deal to pass up. Now RC4WD has a free shipping promotion for the Olympics and the Trailfinder 2 kit is awfully tempting. I want to use it to recreate my dad’s 1981 Toyota pickup.

It reminds me of someone having a cartoonish large head. 😂 None the less I like it maybe putting a driver in it may help the looks. I’d love to see the Gen 8 V2 out someone had their Marksmen out & it motivated me to get mine out & it was a blast. I do have the Gen 8 & the FMS 10 Blazer & the FMS without the top looks disproportionate I purchased mine to be a full time Blazer & it looks pretty good. But I’m staring to think the New FMS 10 Brazer maybe the ultimate trail truck. The steering servo went out in mine about the 5th time out so you have to replace it asap. Looking pretty Crawly out on the property. 👍

Thanks, I felt the same with the fms, side windows look small and without the top it really stands out! But all looks better when on. Just can't make up my mind on color I want orange for retro, or black to hide side windows! Stand by for gen8!

@@gerrysoldguyreview I have the classic Orange version I love black but the scratches really stand out. And you are correct you can’t go wrong with Proline Hyrax so I have a set on it with Injora inserts & metal scale looking beadlocks & It also has Injora metal driveshafts & just added a brass servo mount but to be honest it doesn’t need anymore weight it’s portly as it is & is larger then your average 1:10 so when you get it & open the box you are like Wow that’s big. It’s a Beast & sometimes I don’t know how it manages to find so much traction regardless of weight or size.

I love the body so if I give it some love it will be brass portal covers and maybe diff cover. Will have to check if I put weight in the wheels.

I've had my eye on the FMS for a bit and I'm hoping for a sale...... even though it's already $150 cheaper than the RC4wd. The FMS is 4" longer than the RC4WD and 1.5" wider. I think it's about the same scale as the now discontinued 1/6 MB Scaler. Also, I think it looks just as good as the MB Scaler and I think they would make good trail partners. 🤓

I remember when this came out and I was running scale comps... word was that this was going on the tried and true chassis so figured it would be epic. Then when it showed up to compete... holy... much bigger than it should have been. What about that current version on RC4WD... think it might be better?

Which current one do you mean? If it's the chevy truck it is pretty nice but even on the LWB chassis the scale is small.

Fms larger rigs are 1/7th on 1/10 chassis. Put a set of ar60s in the mashigan and lets just say it looks normal. Rc4wd makes cool bodies, debating if I want their bully axles for moa build.

Yeah, if you think this one’s big , you’ll laugh when you get the FMS version 😂. It works out to about a 1/7 scale body on a 1/10 scale chassis
