Alnico breathes better. Even the USA magnet sound better than what AEA choosed. On their active editions it seems to come closer.

I agree! I sold my AEA last week for this exact reason. The active AEA is just a small inexpensive internal 20db boost (like a cloud lifter). How they charge a grand more for that seems… confusing
