I'm Canadian, but yeah, the RCAF demo Hornets always have something cool to offer in terms of paint schemes. My favorite was the Canada 150 and the Battle of Britain liveries.

Say what you want about the RCAF but they have the coolest paint jobs in all of NATO ❤

More cut backs. The pilot has to do everything? Great looking bird.
Wow!!!! It looks like Capt. Kutryk did it all himself. Pre flight checks, removed covers, start up, flaps etc. Back in the 1960s, 70s they had the cumbersome generators and hoses........ Technology has come a long way baby.

Great Video Mate. This livery is mint on the F18, it really suits it.

What an awesome start up and takeoff sound! Very interesting way of jumping into the jet too.. Fantastic camera work for such a fast moving aircraft! Liked :D

The pilot first inspects his aircraft, climbs onto one of its wings, puts on his gear on the fuselage, and then flies this marvelously painted Hornet ?

Talk about "The Right Stuff" ! Solo prep, climbs on wing 0:35 no ground crew support, to save CDN some Tax $ !? ... Putting on flight suit on wing in 30C heat? ... bit of a 'near-miss' safety issue for pilot, falling off fuselage etc 0:49 ?! ... Come On CDN DnD, bit more spend and support of pilots at airshows ! But amazing how these pilots make due, and get the job done, just like they would if ever called upon to defend CDN !

Did the airport not have anyone to stow the ladder after Glib got into the jet instead of making him climb onto the wing himself?

Nice, but does not change the fact, that replacing these aircraft is at least 10 years overdue.

He did do it all by himself; Canada doesn't use the 10 man start team like the USA - cheaper on hotels too !!! No doubt he used his own car also vs a "rental" and forget the fancy boarding ladder and chock pullers; hey its an airshow not Topgun.

If the RCAF...had more ground crew they wouldn't have enough money for 3 Star hotels for border crashing immigrants.

F-18 has it's own self-contained ladder to the cockpit (although he didn't use it so he could put on his flight gear)
