I believe and want the Catholic Church to step up to the plate and support ALL endeavors to help First Nations. People who are alive today should NOT be asked to support financially any part of reconciliation or collect monies through the church to help all Native peoples. It should be done completely from the Catholic church alone. The Catholic church is not broke in any way. It is totally unfair to ask for monies from parishioners in general when they have not been in any way part of this horrific behavior. Those who committed the offences and threw Native Children into the ground like trash must take responsibility fully. The Catholic church was hiding these tragic events for a very long time. Now that the truth has come out they need to acknowledge that fact and do what is right.

The bishop was too soft. He should denounce the church burnings. And he should call out those who supported Church burnings like the head of the BC civil rights who was fired.. And he should admonish the media for THEIR incitement of burning churches
