Thank you Greg for putting the Venture18 through its paces. We'll definitely be adding to the range with a lot of options, and more.

Wish you all the best with this release! The community needs you back up top with HH and Traxxas. They need some more competition in order to get the hobby grow even more. Wish you would come back with the cupracer or something new that's similar.

Helo there, my jumpshot V2 SC arrived with leaky shocks and faulty transmission, also the V2 has this terrible problem that the steering links keep popping off!!! One of the two broke in half since it popped off after a small side bump and the car keep going bending/breaking the link. Please make a V3 SHORT COURSE

Very cool truck. The only thing I would change is the color. It has a toy/plastic look and i think different paint would help and maybe a tint in the windows.

What a fantastic release from HPI! I wish them luck! This seems like a great overall package... Electronics, body, drive train... Decent bang for buck too! I find bushings totally acceptable at this scale and running purpose. If I was on the market for a mini crawler/trail truck, this is the one I'd get! Nice review, Greg! 👍🙏

You don't need ball bearings in a crawler that's going to get dirty and wet. I don't mind it doesn't.

Nice review, and I hope that your fingers thaw out! I'm a little surprised that Toyota would license that body. In today's age of 3D scanning, I would have hoped for more accuracy, plus the comically-large wheels make the truck look a little cheap. 1.2' X 18 = 22" wheels. The other thing is that the truck looks jumpy and halting in its motions, as if it has a lot of drivetrain slop. I didn't see you do an ultra-slow speed test, so I'm not sure if it'll crawl as slowly as we are used to seeing with the best brushless set-ups. I hope that HPI does well with this. It's not easy to get people away from established brands.

Yep it's a love hate relationship with me minis crawlers especially really brang back RC hobby shops can put a micro crawler track in there store that doesn't take up much space then tell you all the parts you need to buy from them to get passed the tricky sections on the track so in turn thats the parts/rigs they stock the most of its great because it brang a ton of people into the hobby equals more LHS ..but they don't stock 80% of the parts I need lol

Looks more toyish than scale. I don't really recognize the 85 toyota, more like tamiya's king cab Nissan pathfinder . Proportions are off. Tires / wheels ruin everything. Chassis looks fine though. Wish they got the body right.

Lost me at bushings. All Id wanna do right away, is install bearings. Very lame decision.
