Greg, I have this boat in orange. It’s an awesome boat. I will tell you that I do leave the single nut/bolt slightly loose for the Rudder so it will break away(it works trust me lol) also, I find that I need to grease the flex cable every time after I run it because there’s some water in the tube. This also makes it ready for next time and prevent rust. Love your channel. It’s pretty much my favorite, I’ve really enjoyed your content since way back in the RCdriver days, and the RC boat magazine lol have a great evening

I gotta tell you, I abused the heck out of my old M41. I owned and ran it for years and only regreased the stuffing tube once! Broke a few props, actually never had an issue with the rudder but had to run through the precautions just in case in this video. But it puts up with a lot. Such a great boat. Glad to gear you enjoy it. Thanks for the long term support! Much appreciated!

Use a “nylon bolt and nut” specifically designed to shear, good hobby shops carry them in various sizes

I have lots of traxxas products I have the T-Maxx, XRT,Rustler,Hoss,Stampede, X-Maxx. But I think I'll get a Traxxas boat now. Looks very cool and lots of fun to use out in the water. Get out some ice cold beers, put on some good music and hang out at the lake or river and run the RC boat. Now that sounds like a great time there. Just might do that very very soon. I have the same green m41, and its awesome. It my best boat for carving turns, keep it wide open. The only 2 downsides, are the plastic props will break eventually when it gets out of the water a few times (aluminum prop should be included for the price), and getting the batteries in is a knuckle skinner almost every time

Yup! Heading out on my buddies pontoon boat later this week for some RC boating and I think my back will be hurting too from lugging these things around. lol

Change the bottom rudder bracket bolt to a nylon one.

I know, still got mine even after getting some outrageous offers for it. But I think the drone segment might be a little too saturated for them.

I love everything radio control including boats like this, but actually driving them has so little appeal to me. That spot that you're in is really nice and quiet and peaceful so going round and round in circles Really quick just doesn't do it for me. Nice review though

I have the same two. They are great boats. They get even better when you put on a metal prop, and make a new harness with EC5 Connectors so you can use proper batteries with separate balance connectors. Traxxas batteries are over-priced, just average, and their connectors are terrible. Their chargers are no so great either. My M41's run longer, faster, and cooler with non-traxxas batteries with EC5 connectors. The plastic props are expensive, and constantly break with regular use. They do not need to hit anything.

Y’all should see the real version of the M41 by the boat manufacturer DCB. The actual boat is capable of 140mph+

I hope this turns better then my snap on spartan. Reverse and slow speed turning is terrible!! The shitty vxl system burnt up so i have the hw seaking in there. Alot better esc. The lid constantly comes off on a hard impact so strapped in pool noodles to keep it from sinking. All in all i think the spartan it a shitty boat and im glad i only paid 150 for mine. I hope this version is better because im not impressed

Noooo lol love your vis but proboats blackjack 24 is 10 times the build quality and on 4s 50 mph on gps and it walks away from my spartans and m41running on 6s enough i listed all 3 spartans and m41 all for sale under 200 each just to be rid of them

I simply enjoy all types of RC and brands. When I go out boating, I always take a minimum of 2 Traxxas Boats and 2 ProBoats. Sometimes I take a 5th like my Oxidean Marine Mini Dom or a Rage RC boat.

I have this boat. Battery died in the middle of the pond.. I Swim out to get it and almost drown on the swim back in Literally had to use the boat buoy or I would of died.. please do not swim out for any rc boat have a recover boat or use a fishing pole..

Glad you’re ok, but yeah, retrieval boat, canoe or fishing pole are the best retrieval options.

Traxxas literally says do not swim out to get it if issues in directions. They also recommend some methods of retrieval. 🤷‍♂️
