Nice review as usual thanks. I really like this version but the way the car sits reaaaally bothers me. It was fine with the military version but ive never seen a civilian version this jacked up. Looks weird. Is there an easy way to lower the suspension? I see shocks/springs in front but how to adjust the rear torsion bar system?

Hey FMS will you guys please make a version of the karmann Ghia as well as the version of the samba type 2 bus. Of you do sign me up to be the first buyer. Got the civilian version of the beetle and I'm loving it. I know if you make the two versions I just suggested those will sell every bit as well as these are maybe even better.

Victor Ma is hoping to produce other body styles and a bus prototype is in the works. Possibly a Porsche Berlin to Rome racer as well. The 1/12 Kommandeurwagen, Kubelwagen and Peoples car will have to sell 10,000 units for a profit before other models could possibly be seen. As of now there is not enough profit as they're being sold rather inexpensively compared to all the detail and work that goes into them, but the aim is to keep them affordable for adults and kids alike.

It is an awesome model, but I thought RocHobby were making licensed models. Missing the the VW logo on the hub cups and here and there, makes me give it only 9 out of 10. Still amazing what they can deliver for those prices. I am going to this one also

@@rcdriver I will repaint the shell with added clear coat after fixing the patch with putty. Paint interior details , white steering wheel ---etc. Even try to add some emblems , mainly on the frunk. It will be awesome

This isn't a VW beetle... it's a KdF Wagen so wouldn't have had the VW logo. Would've had cogwheel emblem on boot lid and flying swastika or cogwheel nipple type on the hubcap which would be deemed insensitive. Some prototype KdF cars had blank hubcaps.

It's a fair price considering the high level of detail, faithful working suspension, transmission, portal axles, gear changes, 2wd and 4wd mode, working lights, etc. More reasonably priced than a lot of scalers which need a ton of mods to reach this level. These are short on performance in comparison, but for good reason. These are to blur the line between scaler and shelf collectible and keep it below two hundred dollars. These have fairly realistic performance to the real car only scaled down x12. An attempt at the best of both worlds. Also some upgrades are available if you reach out to Victor Ma himself.
