That’s actually really awesome, a mystery box build. The only real problem I could see with this is if someone wanted more than 1 or 2, the chance of getting a duplicate car kit would suck. That one looks amazing. Nice vid, Greg. 😎

Vanquish says if you order 2 together you should not get a double....so they would make sure an order with 2 rigs would come out of the same box, now order them separately and high chances of getting twins lol. That would suck unlthey happen to be mystery kits lol.....

1991 Honda CRX- Eibach springs, dropped it 1.5", some chrome 18's and BFGoodrich tires. Handled like a go kart!

Mine was a 1997 Eagle Talon Tsi Awd (Eclipse) with Eibach Pro Kit. Loved that car.

I like that the body panels don't come pre stickered. I'd probably leave the stickers off and use my own. Overall though, looks like a great kit!

Many moons ago, when I was 19, I had a 1997 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. One of the first mods I purchased was an Eibach Pro Kit lowering spring set. The perfect drop for the car.

@rcdriver sweeeet always loved the dsm's. Can't go wrong with 4cyl, a turbo, awd, and a manual. My love of cars all started with ken blocks gymkhana, and 2WD Traxxas Slash. Now I've got a Focus RS, making about 380hp to all four wheels.

I'd prefer being able to choose mine's livery. Most of them look really nice (I really like this platform), but I dont quite like the black and light blue ones. I understand this is looking at it with an "half-empty" perspective but this seems like a cost cutting measure being advertised as an advantage. 😅 Maybe it's the only way they can afford the different brands licencing and not raise the price? Just my opinion. Nice video Greg! 🙏

What tires do you recommend for a 2wd rustler? It’s brushed on 2s at the moment but I might go for brushless and run it on 2s. I was thinking the talon exts from the 4x4 rustler which id mount on 2wd wheels since I think badlands are too big and look a bit silly on it despite their insane grip, what do you think of the grip on the talons?

Correct. I'm baffled that anyone would think this is a good idea. People would always have at least some preference over those options, so how is spending a lot of money on a 'lucky dip' a benefit to the consumer?

IF I was going to buy this kit (I'd say, there's less than a 5% possibility I'll buy it, as I'm not only crawlers anymore), the Eibach body IS the one I'd want. Not only are the lift springs on my Toyota RAV4 from Eibach, but I actually took my RAV4 to Eibach HQ in Corona, CA, to have them installed by their own techs.

So Greg, I heard you say you needed to buy extra stuff to actually complete the car build such as tires and rims, servos, etc. How many extra components did you have to buy to complete this build? And after it was all said and done, what was the total cost for the completed car? I’m seriously considering this as my first rock crawler. But if after everything is purchased, if the total investment is like $500 or more, I think that’s a bit high and I’d pass. Thanks man.

Off the top of my head, the build was probably double your budget. If you like the rig, I’d suggest taking a look at the RTR. It’s $499.99. Requires a battery and charger. Just add a little weight to it, trim the tire foams and it’ll be a blast.

Well its a great rig, but it's 100 less to have to build. You put new electronics in the rtr. I guess it's about the kit and building. Only 100ish add3d for the gear on rtr. That just bothers me they put so little in rtr. Just sell rollers.
