When I ordered my traxxas trx4 defender I also ordered the traxxas stainless steel screws. I ended up also ordering the stainless steel screws from rc screws because the traxxas screw set didn't do the complete unit. The traxxas screw set also has the ones for the steering servo when the one from rc screws didn't have

Of course people will complain and of course people are going to say that is "too much" or it is "a waste of money" to add all those parts but I'm glad you are. I am thinking about getting a sport kit and adding a few things to it so I appreciate all the parts you are showing even if i may not get them myself, it helps. I have been itching to build a kit for a while and really like the one TRX4 kit with the rear cage/extra scale parts included and was thinking about adding the fenders to it to make it more scale and to keep the crap out of the chassis. Seeing them go in and how much of a difference it made I am going that route!! Thanks as always for the cool videos and spending the time to share them with us :)

I got an axial SCX 24 and the darn thing got me hooked, so of course i had to get a big one! Your videos have been a huge help to see what is available for it now i just need to get goin!!! Thanks again!

I have had a trx4 sport for about 8 months and the only thing that I have done to it is lowered the body, changed the servo and put a set of duretrex deep woods tires on it and added a little custom paint to the stock body and it's almost boring it's so capable!

Incredible advancements in these cars, it is just amazing. Great video as always. Would you maybe consider doing a video with the TRX 4 Sport custom build and the Rustler 4x4 VXL custom build in the same video, side by side. That would be great!

Great instructive video, very professional. Question please: Have you considered the Traxxas 8081 inner fender extension kit? It's supposed to fill in the fender well with rubber extension pieces to keep debris out. I'd love to see if you think the 8081 kit is worth while. Thanks, Michael

Hi now that you are doing this big uppgrade, i wonder if you could add the extension to the inner fenders the part nr is 8081, hade a look and cant see anything about how you get them on. When i look at the inner fenders it dosent look like ther is any holes to screw the extension in to.

I have a few crawlers but want to make this one special and make it my own so I’m modding the hell out of her it’s my money so I’ll spend it how I like. I’m buying the mud guard fender kit and the light kit ? What colour lights are you putting on yours ? Not sure about swopping out all the screws I’m not in water all the time so may buy a box and swap out as required Thanks for this series Great 👍

I can’t get my trx4 45kg upgrade servo to be straight. When I turn the wheels they stay turned and don’t line up. And when ever I put my foot beside the wheels and tried to turn the wheels but they didn’t move, but once I picked it up the wheels moved and then when I put the truck back down they don’t move, the servo makes the noise as if it’s turning but doesn’t. And then the wheels are just side to side and not lined up. Do you know how to fix that?

If you don't need 'waterproof' there are massively powerful(400+ Oz), name brand servos that don't necessarily require a BEC that can be found at quantifiable savings over similarly powerful "waterproof" rated servos. And consciously NOT playing U-boat commander with an electric RC truck also saves one the concern, cost, and trouble of installing the stainless steel hardware upgrade. I also found that Mobil-1 synthetic 75/90wt gear oil works fantastic as both shock oil and differential oil if your RC has "differentials". And since it costs less than $10.00 a quart from the auto parts store your supply should last many years.

Playing submarine commander is half the fun!! Waterproofing is the best way to go!
@douglaselliott82985 жыл бұрын
@@travismorse2104 Then, by all means, run YOUR RC in as much water/mud as you wish. Mine, however, will stay dry, clean, require far less maintenance, and many electronic replacement parts will be found quantifiably cheaper.

@@douglaselliott8298 I do & will!! I have been running my crawlers in the shit for years, nothing breaks & nothing ever fails. Its all how you set them up.Some of us own shelf greens & some like to actually run our rigs.😂😂🍻

@@travismorse2104 You seem to be under the assumption that your way of having fun with RCs is the ONLY acceptable way of having fun with RCs. BTW; What is a "shelf green"?.

@@douglaselliott8298 shelf gueen dumb ass you know what I meant you own a few!! I'm not saying that "my way is the only way" I have a couple friends like you we call them "fair weather rc enthusiast" they only run when its nice and pretty out! All I'm saying is I'm not gonna let a little mud,water & snow stop me from running my crawlers! I build them to handle that environment! And don't ever have issues.

Really considering getting into this hobby. I've been watching vids and looking around a bit. Would you recommend someone new jumping in with something like a TRX4 or 1/10 scale or start out and see what it is like with something like the SCX24? I'm a 1/1 scale Jeeper too so I'm curious if there are aftermarket body kits for things like the TRX4 to change the body kits all together?
@thomasgross82895 жыл бұрын
Go 1/10 to start the 1/24 are cool and rapidly advancing but dont compare to the 1/10s in general overall performance. The 1/10s can go perty much anywhere even perty fun urban crawling. If you want a dependable highly capable rig with great support go with the trx4 sport hands down for the money the best rtr out.

The great part about RC is there are a ton of choices out there for every person’s individual needs.
@MrRickTic4 жыл бұрын
RCDriver_Online The reason I say that is that they tend to overprice their parts. Plus I work for a Traxxas dealer that’s why I get parts cheap. At half it’s closer but a lot of their stuff is still to high. It is the best fit tho.
