For future reference, unless a kit SPECIFICALLY says otherwise, putty is supposed to be placed under the ring of the drain to form a seal, which is why there were remnants of putty there to begin with, putting it on the bottom of the drain does nothing.

You did not clean the bottom of the sink or tighten before you connected the pipe so It would not spin?

I saw you video a few minutes too late. I just got in an argument with my plumber because he did not use the gasket and other parts. He installed the krause sink just like a regular sink glue it up with silicone. Now I want to clean out the drain I cant. He tried to make me believe that i didnt know what i was talking about just because I am female. SMH

Looks like the plastic one failed because you tried using putty instead of a rubber gasket🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Reason I'm here is I just replaced a plastic one that I used putty on last time. Lasted 29 years. Putty still wasn't leaking, the basket developed a pin hole.
