Being a former CV-22 Osprey operator, when transitioning into airplane mode you need to try to keep a little nose high as it tends to nose dive when the nacelles move forward. As for CV-22 speak, what you call ailerons is actually called Flaperons and the elevator is called an Elleron. Great presentation though. I may have to buy one myself.

Give it some time, the Navy are replacing the C-2 Greyhound Carrier onboard Delivery (COD) with V-22 now so now the COD can deliver to cruisers, destroyers, frigates, & amphibious assault ships. So as they get more numerous and operating experience the Coast Guard will probably end up buying a few.

I don't agree with a metric system takeover. As a kid I was told that everything was changing to metric, It never happened & that's cool. Our system great. I managed to get some hover time and some slow low altitude flying and not crash it. I sold it because it was not very fun always worrying about crashing it. I also have an original DJI phantom which is easier to fly than the helicopter but still not for beginners. But...maybe time to try flying again with all this new flight control technology.

This has my attention. Pretty cool model. Price is reasonable. I did notice a noisy fan. Is that the main rotors? Is there anything you can do to make it quieter? I'll be honest, even though the model seems well built and constructed, that noise changes my mental feeling about it. My mind goes straight to a cheap, knock-off plane, even though it doesn't appear to be. That noise is a borderline dealbreaker for me.

The model shown here is a bit small. The problems caused by the different inclination of the rotor nacelles do not exist in the original because both are connected to one shaft. I have the V-22 Osprey in the RealFlight simulator; Difficult to master if you want to land spot on in hover mode.👍

Also when you transition don't touch anything :) not even throttle it will throttle up automatically for forward flight.

I wouldn't mind betting that a piece of your packing foam that you use for transporting , was the cause of you your first transition to flight mode . might have to think of something else there. Good video , Love the Osprey .......... Cheers

I saw in your video that you used a 3200 mAh battery, did you have any problems with the weight? Regards

What i see is the two nacelles do not move symultanainously. The left nacelle follows behind the right one. Nice machine.

Nice video and good explanation. Only one thing: „thumb on the throttle“ is 1980s (yes I‘ve flown RC back then), today please use an arm switch. Much safer.

I also have an arm switch activated, but i had just completed the calibration and wanted to keep the throttle channel active without any further changes.

@@RCINFORMER Glad to hear! I have my arm switch set to override the throttle channel with a fixed value of 1000us (or 0%). That‘s the exact same thing like holding the thumb on the throttle and does not influence calibration in any way.
