Just watched this back again, I had 2 of my Mini's out racing at the weekend. My original 1995 Mini Stock Car and my Mini 50 (car 11) I was racing it in with the front wheel drive tamiya Mini's. Great fun seeing them on the track again, even better I didn't finish last!

Have number 36, Paul Ruckledge currently has my body and is doing the box art design far better than I could do. Still unsure whether or not to build or leave in box, it wont be run I wouldn't imagine but may change my mind.

That's great! Wonderful. Takes me back to the early 1980s when guys at my school had the IC powered stock cars with the metal chassis!!

I'm just getting into RC, (I Did want to when the sandscorcher came out in 79 but the folks couldn't afford it) So My girl is the age I was so i bought a Mardave Mini assassin which I am grafting into her Barbie car. So hopefully this Bank Hol She will be able to drive Barbie around at 40mph (scale 240mph!)

Well done building the kit Gav. The way kit buying is going i thought all 50 would be bought and left in the box unbuilt and hope it would eventually be worth a £million !

Looking good Gav, check out Adam Savage's one day builds for Styrene model making as he gives out some great tips on how to cut it out especially from his days working at ILM " industrial light & magic" when he was doing models for Star Wars.

Rather than using a knife i brought a scribing tool used for plastic models and guilde that round the windows. Corners can be sanded.

Nice little package. Adding light buckets, and outside side mirrors? A union jack flag on the roof would be my take but I don't have this kit.

Looks awesome! Is it 1/12th scale or 1/10th? On the Mardave website, there is no mention of scale at any of their cars... it looks 1/12th to me, but I could be wrong...
@semperatis3 жыл бұрын
Mardaves are 1/12th in general,with a very few exceptions.(i.e. Cobra;Apache; F1;1/10th on-road pan car).

Nice to see a build again. Any news on Project Xray?
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, Unfortunately, it won't happen thanks to BREXIT. Import tax, shipping and handling fee's have made it not possible for RCKicks and EuroRC to collaborate anymore, unfortunately. It's not EuroRC's fault or anything it's just one of those things. I still want to get an XRAY build on the show but I'm not sure when it will be. keep you posted.

Very nice video. Too bad we can't get the Mardave cars in the U.S. without paying a lot for shipping.

I bet you there are more than 50! Or More will show up Now
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
53 ish made. A few development, one promo and fifty number chassis units. The reason these are limited is due to stock availability, broken tooling. Mardave could have taken 200 orders for this little thing but it can’t supply them. The Mini 21 racer is due out to fill the gap as you can also get that in full carbon.

Great to see different content ie from other manufacturers etc, but this one bores me a little lol, that chassis is so basic its the sort of thing i built 30 years ago at college ha ha
