9 months and no part two, why do you even say part one if you have no intention of doing part two?

I do not have ImmersionRC system but from general knowledge in electronics I guess that RF switch next to the antenna connector is to switch antenna between Transmitting and Receiving paths of that transceiver chip.

Very nice review. Could you include also the "EzUHF Transmitter - JR Module" into your UHF Hardware Review ?

Hence the name EZUHF. Love my Ez!

Hi Bruce it's really interesting to see what's inside these devices. Do you think you can add the TBS crossfire to this line up? They're making some very bold claims.

On this video you show the the back of the circuit board , look at the soldier joints that are ground down . You should , if you see that , heat up your soldier gun and melt them so that there is good continuity and no cracks even micro ones .

Hi, i just love all you vids with reviews and all fair an honest opinions. I also like you tutorial on basic of flying. As I have seen this video I was hopping that you could help me with advice on use of the EZUHF transmitter for the LRF. I have a question and the problem. I am trying to use the EZUHF 500mw transmitter with my Futaba 14sg. As per EZUHF manual I am plugging the Futaba trainer cable into EZUHF transmitter. But when starting the radio my EZUHF transmitter does not come on. I have used ImmersionRC Tool program on PC to update software for both EZUHF TX and RX and I also binded them through the PC so i thing that that part is solved. Still my Futaba SG14 is not switching on transmitter and ....where I am doing something wrong. I have turned up and down trainer menu on my radio and I just can not figure it out why it does not emit signal to transmitter. Please, i would be very happy of any advice. Thank you, Matt

In the video, you mentioned OSD regarding a connector and wasn't sure about it. You probably know this, but to me, OSD has always meant On Screen Display (like with your PC monitor).

Hi, I been looking for a datasheet for the PD8401 and the only one I can find is the -E rev and it show a different IC packing, also is there some place that I can purchase a few of the to repair one TX module?

That switch located right before the RF output that you said you would identify. what is that switch called? Next to c38/c33/ic6/c31

theres a mod for the ezuhf that gets around the power limit system of the board that i would love to know what it is and give it a shoot to boost the power output and also permits the use of lower voltage

i got the ezuhf diversity receiver, and ezuhf jr module type. was expecting a tear down of it, well this will do.

Great vid as always. Any chance anybody might know how to connect to a quad via ppm, and get it to work through betaflight? having issues. I beleive I have done everything correctly, but not sure how to diognose. Cheers

Very good closeups as usual with your reviews of this nature. I'll be curious on how this system compares to the others as far as performance. I purchased the EZ UHF Tx plug in module for my Taranis along with the mini 4 CH Rx. Should be perfect for my QAV 250 so I can use a video Tx frequency other than 5.8. We'll soon see.

Jason Campbell What is the most appropriate long range video freq to match UHF when used in long range activities?
@Jarcademis9 жыл бұрын
It's entirely up to the pilot. My thought is that if you use 433 MHz control frequency, then you can use 2.4gHz for your video Tx. That way, from what I understand, you can reduce the chances of harmonic interference from your control frequency. Also, the 2.4 ghz antennae are smaller than the lower frequency ones and still provide pretty good video based on what I've seen on KZbin. Again this is just my take on things and until I finish my current build, I won't be able to prove it out. Hopefully Bruce will straighten me out on this in case I am wrong. = )

I was thinking 1.2ghz or a lower one if there is one 900mhz? . If you're at ranges of 50km, you prob won't have real line of sight so want a freq that can bend and filter through things better. Not that I know but in principal I think the lower freqs are going to be like that. 5.8 would surely be no good unless you're up high with real line of sight
@Jarcademis9 жыл бұрын
Yes I hear of many who use 1.2 ghz for Tx. I have heard of 900mHz but not as common.
@hiwayM99 жыл бұрын
***** 1.2/1.3 video is what you match with uhf for LRS. The quality of the video feed, at it's best is potentially lower than what 5.8 offers, but 5.8 will never match the potential distance whereas the 1.3 video will go as far as the control under proper conditions and proper build. I run everything but 2.4 video. 900 is out if you want to use the new TBS Crossfire system as it runs on 915 I believe. Additionally- in Europe, the APM ad pixhawk telemetry is on 433- which is what ez uhf is on in the states. In the states, the pixhawk and apm telemetry is on 915. So there are many t's to cross and i's to dot when building a long range system, and much thinking about where you may want to go with a craft in the future. Very cool stuff though- but I geek out on this stuff.

Is there counterfeits of these. When i look att Ebay i find prices ranging from 30 upp to 90 is dollar. Is there copies or is it because of where they are made

There are older and newer models of these. In the USA, anything above 1 watt is considered illegal for ham operators.
