The fact of the matter is, if CP Rail is held at fault, it would open up other cover ups they are at fault for and the whole industry will be exposed. They wont allow that to happen.

...sadly, this reminds of the Deepwater Horizon oil leak in the US Gulf Coast years back. Meaning, as an organization gets too big, it loses its ability to properly regulate itself. The executives at the top don’t understand how their organization works at the lower levels, and thus do not institute proper controls. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT MEAN A GOVERNMENT OFFICE SHOULD TAKE OVER, WHICH WOULD KNOW EVEN LESS. INSTEAD, THE LARGE COMPANIES NEED TO BE BROKEN INTO SMALLER DIVISIONS IN ORDER TO HAVE MANAGEABLY SIZED ORGANIZATIONS.

Maybe there are calls for railroad nationalization.. I don't know because I don't live in Canada. Either way it really seems besides the point. The 2 videos I just watched the calls are for outside entities to investigate derailments (or even more specifically fatal derailments idk). It's one thing when an organization fails in regulating itself its another when its also the one responsible for punishing itself when it fails to act. Just imagine if BP was allowed to investigate itself after Deepwaer Horizon oil leak. Instead BP "plead guilty to 14 criminal counts for its illegal conduct leading to and after the 2010 Deepwater Horizon disaster, and was sentenced to pay $4 billion in criminal fines and penalties, the largest criminal resolution in U.S. history"

@Monkey Doodoopoopoo I'm sure that is true, unfortunately the term foreigners is subjective to where a person lives. In other words, greed is everywhere. If it doesn't come from within our own country it comes from somewhere else but remember we allow it in. The side effect is that the common workers suffer while the rich get richer

Why is he a “former” disgruntled CP👮♀️, did he quit or was he unlawfully fired or laid off after the fact? That’s an important bit of information not stated . That can definitely have an impact towards the investigation on what CP’s motives were, coverup or not. That’s not to say an investigation hinges on it but it is important to know.

Ok must be some hardcore train guys on here how impossible is it that a trains brake system would fail in 2020?
@underscr0e3 жыл бұрын
They said it was that certain area that had the very long distance of steep grade, with extreme cold weather, and a very heavy train, and then the circumstance they started in where they may have been told to skip steps and rushed maybe that put those circumstances all in effect...and the train had no time to pump up the brakes, there may have been a few cars without working brakes as well...hopefully they figure out exactly every little circumstance leading up to what cause this so that it will never ever happen again and maybe put family, friends, and coworkers at ease with exact analysis released.

It was having braking problems and was parked on a main track in -30’s temps for hours. No one had gone car to car to apply the manual parking brake. It was sitting there with only the air brakes applied. The 3 men had been dispatched to fix the problem and get the train moving because it was blocking the main line. The air brakes lost pressure from sitting in the cold and the train started rolling. They couldn’t stop it. It gathered too much speed (50kmh when it should’ve been 15kmh) And went off the tracks.
@underscr0e3 жыл бұрын
@@RoyalMetal9 well there we go, they should have manually applied the brakes on the cars, why didn’t they?
@Xavier_The_Dragon3 жыл бұрын
Probably because they were rushed and probably didn't have enough time to apply the handbrake to each car
