Beautiful! My adult son and I were on the Milford end Feb this year. Mackinnon Pass day was one of the worst of the season. DOC walkers were stopped from walking but we were with the guided group. My son went over but I had to turn back as Queenstown radioed in with a cutoff time and I knew these 60 year old bones weren't going to make it. Thank you for filming so much - it gave me an insight into what the rest of our group went through. Most with phone cameras that were waterlogged, couple broken bones, lots of cuts, bruises and sprains. It's not to be trifled with. This is my second time trying to complete it... last year the son caught c***d so we were medi-evacuated out from a lodge @ NZ$3500 !!! The brain says don't give up but it's so remote and like you witnessed the Milford has a mind of her own when it comes to weather. Thanks again, wonderfully captured ❤

What a great video! The volume of water that you got to see was a unique experience and a great compromise for a little discomfort. Sounds like you had fun. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, loved watching your video, thank you. It brought back so many great memories of when I walked the track, including exactly how it was walking down the Pass in a waterfall the whole way, just like your footage showed. LOL. Thank you. Cheers from Australia.

Seems getting stuck in the rain is a pretty common experience there, but it certainly creates memories!

A very well made and very realistic video. Most of the time, the scary details get left out. Thanks for putting it up there. We are due to do it this November and I am happy to know what to expect. Even with all the rain, the walk was still so incredible through your filming and the lovely commentary. Loved those pauses, for the snippets of extra information. Thanks for the wonderful production. Good luck for your future trips and other awesome experiences
