Hello i have the same incubator how do you cool the eggs? Since there is no function to cool the eggs 50-60% my quails die after the stage when they grow their feathers. Thank you i hope you can help

So this you can actualy set the temp to drop down at any point you want. You put it all in manualy huni. Iv never had quail in the incubator found that there moms were amazing at it. There is a fixed quail setting on this but still you can drop the temp. Personaly with chickens I lock down on day 19 so any chicks behind get an extra day. Then lockdown and keep the humidity the same all the way through. Dont forget humidity and the temp in the room your incubating in will also have an affect on the chicks. How long do you leave them in the incubator once hatched ? Could be a good idea to put them in a brooder at 24 hours old once fully dry. I use a brooder plate as its samer them a heat lamp but I can drop it low enough to touch the chicks back when standing up. Also what kind of quail as some breeds are known to be very difficult to breed/incubate and raise. Do you have a mom or buying eggs in. If your buying in stand the eggs for 24 hours in a warm not hot room pointed end up, it helps xxxx

Тhank you very much. I have now found, on your advice, where I can lower the temperature to slightly cool the eggs from day 11 ❤ I am also trying to find a hen quail that will hatch the eggs herself. This is the best incubator when birds hatch eggs; they do not look at the air temperature, they are focused on the temperature of the shell. Our chickens have always hatched their own eggs, too. This is better than incubators. I know that everything chicks bred in incubators unfortunately do not have the instinct to hatch eggs, although sometimes people are lucky and find such a hen🎉😅

@@Taiyaki911 Ov never had an issue with hens going broody and hatching there own eggs after I hatched the adults, it all depends on breed of bird. Many now have had the instinct bred out of them for other traits that companys or people that show prefer. We had only Heritige breeds, which means theyv not had any instincts etc bred out of them. I had mostly English Orpingtons, silkies as pets etc. All of my hens that I hatched went onto hatch and raise there own chicks. I also lock down on day 19 and that gives any chicks slightly behind the chance to catch up. I have always had almost full hatches, apart from lavender aracunas I did have a problem with those. You need to find a Quail group they can give you so much advice and help you to get afult hens to hatch. This incubator is fab I love it. There is a 2nd part you can get to hatch in only but I hatch in my incubators xxxx

I do have a few other videos on here sweet on me putting it together. I cant actually get to it now as it has been put away for the winter in the loft. I use chick tec sanatiser in a spray bottle for the main body. Then the base, silicon sheet, egg turner we hand scrub after socking in the sanatiser. Go with the instructions on the sanatiser though. I just empty the water put it back together with the sanatiser in the water port and run if for an hour. Take apart, emoty the water and put fresh water in then run it again. I do turn the humidity right up when I do this so the water gets through the pipes xxxx

I check mine daily to make sure there are no problems with it. You can just set it up and leave it till lockdown snd then remove the egg tray and put down something for the chicks to be able to get a good grip on, I use silicone dehdrator sheets cut to the right size and then just wait. It does have alarms on it but you can turn them off I keep mine on. I top up the water every week so its normally full when I clean it out after the hatch is done. But yes it does everything just keep an eye on the water xxxx

What's the size of your spray bottle and the amount? It says 10ml of cleaner for 1l of water. But I can't find a 1l spray bottle and should I clean it when I first get it, due to chemicals when it's been built?

Mines about 500ml hun i have a couple of syringes from the vets that i diddent use. So i use one for the sanatiser and iv got another one outside that we use for the chickens vitamin boost. If your in the UK look in the pound shop or Wilkinsons its where we get our spray bottles from xxxx

Thank you huni. Iv got 17 laying hens but due to the time of year not all are laying right now. We have 3 pure blue orpington hens the others have gold leakage so ill be hatching from the 3 pure blues and one of our blue orp roo's. A friend has Tiny's sisters and a beautiful buff lad so hopefully later on in the year i may have some hatching eggs from her. We arnt keeping any of the buff boys we have due to leakage and temprament they arnt very nice to the ladies either so looking for a nice buff gent for them. I am so excited to be hatching from our own this year but i will be getting some hatching eggs in as well im think of splash orpingtons next xxxx
