Man.. you walked by my fiance at the dealers den and I was too late to come say hi! Been a fan of the channel since 2013, but glad to know you were around. You summarized Anthrocon down to a science - it's the city. Pittsburgh is Anthrocon as much as Anthrocon is Pittsburgh. I've never seen a city so welcoming of furries and it makes the experience such a fun time. Much as I love my 'home con' of Anthro New England in Boston, steel city has the energy. I did literally end up at Anthrocon 2023 because of the baseball game across the river -- a friend of mine and I were going to watch the Pirates game at 3, but her not-yet-in-laws hijacked her and her partner for brunch and so all of a sudden I had 6 hours in the morning on Saturday open. Having driven all the way to Pittsburgh from Baltimore, approx. 4.5 hours, I decided not to look a gift convention in the mouth and bought a one-day pass. No regrets. I don't entirely know if I consider myself "An Furry" still but I've always enjoyed stuff like Lackadaisy, Beastars, Poppy Opossum, and similar, so getting to explore AC and figure out which niches of the fandom felt cozy to me in real time was a blast. Couldn't make AC this year but, definitely stoked to check it out again in the future for a full weekend

I wanted to come on here as well and say it was a joy to be able to talk to you there on Thursday after the fireworks! You ended up filming me talking on about my camera, and I hope that the information I gave you is of use later on! It sucks that I didn't catch you out and about in the Taxi, I really wanted a photo of you running around in it with the suiters so I could send it over, and I know I had some fursuiter friends who wanted a ride, but maybe we'll see you around next year! I'm glad to hear you had a great time though, and my thoughts tend to be the same, where it feels more at home, more free to be walking around downtown there while at the convention. I can't say I feel the same way at some other conventions when you set foot outside of the main hotel or convention center. The environment is much more comfortable around Pitt to say the least. I look forward to speaking with you again at some point maybe next year! 🧡

All the cars I've owned are worth half some of those fursuits cost. no wonder there's a lot of overlap between the Furry community and the car community. both hobbies are more lifestyles than hobbies. I was finally able to go to my first furry convention this year (awu 2024). I had the most fun I've had in years. I didn't have enough planning done or money set aside to go to AC this year. I am, however, I am definitely aiming to go to AC 2025. Also, I like the Peterbilt hat, good taste.

Thank you Mr. Regular for filming your experiencing at Anthrocon. I meant to go, but my anxiety got the better of me. I have a fear of large crowds and Anthrocon being one of the largest, terrifies me. Yes, that means I miss out on most things like concerts and such. Seeing the video makes me really happy though. Like I went myself, but minus the anxiety. Pittsburgh and I always welcome you to visit. I work literally a few blocks over from the David L. Lawrence convention center, so the vicarious feeling of living the con was as real as it could possibly be for me without actually going to it.

For the record asking suiters for suiters for a photo serves the practical purposes of getting their attention and getting them to pose. There is nothing rude about taking candids without asking in public con spaces. Also few people stay in hotel rooms by themselves. Most are in groups of 3 or 4. A few...many more. i was at Anime Expo on the other side of the country during the same weekend, and while anime culture is definitely more "accepted/normalized" than furry culture, i believe the same kinds of beliefs and sacrifices are still made between both communities. we can only just hope that one day people understand furries the same way they understand weebs/anime watchers, while STILL ridiculing the bad bunches of people in both groups.
