That was their main issue too and the reason they went stock with coil springs. Leafs are the option.

im a tester for boom racing i have one of the original 20 prototypes of the brx01. even as a scalier the performance out of this truck is absolutely incredible i use it as a class 1 comp truck. i currently have mine fully leaf sprung

Thanks for the info! Can you tell us exactly what the trade-offs are with leaf sprung? Usually folks just do rear, right?

@@RCReviewChannel i did it for the fun of it. i run the truck in class1 lea and the truck has to be full leaf. i did swao out the brx70 axles to ar44 from a scx10ii to get more steering as the brx70s are very narrow

Francis, I like to see the BRX01 on your channel. However, I did not enjoy the video because I found myself getting frustrated with wanting to see a close-up of the parts. You did a good job of making sure you got a chance to inspect every bit thoroughly, but you failed to show your viewers a good solid close-up look at each part. I would recommend taking the time to show every side of every part in a close-up shot for the viewer.

I wish RC cars weren't so expensive... It would be awesome to be able to afford a good truck. I have a lot of issues with my back so I can't do much. A good RC car would be a great time killer. I just can't afford it with all my medical bills n shit... I did get one of those Little WL toys off road buggy things a while ago. It was fun while it lasted. I feel your pain Brother! 😖 I'm from an earlier time, when RC Cars were still sold for what they were WORTH. This was the 80's. There was NO LICENSING!!! That's why you see old Tamiyas and Kyoshos with BRAND NAMES. 😲😲😲 Licensing only came about in the very late 90's... Some Companies decided that they could make EVEN MORE MONEY, by CHARGING TOY COMPANIES Royalty Fees - for Models that gave these Companies FREE ADVERTISING for Decades!!! 😡😠😖 I've been in the same boat as you, for the past 11 years. Some months, we went hungry. I'm a Disabled Veteran, with Back, Leg, Ankle, Knee, and Neck Issues. Serious ones... Nobody seems to give a shit. I'll give you fair warning - do NOT ask the RC Community for help with getting or maintaining a Rig!! 😧 Seriously. Some Basement Warrior will dig through every post you ever made, and if you ever owned anything expensive (which I used to have a lot)..... They'll label you a SCAMMER! A Bum! Con Artist - and worse. 😖😞 Your reputation will be destroyed. Mine at least, is having a happy ending. 😁 After almost 20 years of stalling, they're FINALLY releasing my Great Grandfather's Estate!! They are in completely different realms of RC crawlers. This is a super-scale RC, and the TRX4 is an actual rock crawler. There isn’t really anything to compare between them because there isn’t anything that is too similar.

As far as quality and construction, this is way better. As far as performance, this is more for realism but we'll see.

@@tomekkopanczyk8206 Do lots of research on mounting that body on any chassis other than brx-01... It's a difficult body to get on right with rear suspension and transmission/ motor positions. Unless your prepared to hack the floor and tray to pieces or spend hours modifying. Shorter rear shocks or cantilever suspension and smaller tyres just for a start. Many try and fail... good luck as its a great looking body for sure. Look through KZbin or crawler threads. Cheers mate 👍

Not so much. The chassis itself is easy to assemble. But the body is crazy difficult to put together. It's not so easy to put another lexan body option on this. And the main thing is it's not a good vehicle to learn on and discover how to drive at the limits. A cheaper, more robust body, you can roll dozens of times with no damage. This one with a hard body shell will get beat up bad.

I opened the whole thing already so I got a glimpse of everything before the video. Some things exhibit quality though at first glance and that's what I'm really commenting on. As for tires, Having tried over 30 tires and having decades of experience with bike tires, there's a lot one can observe just by touching them. Softness, durometer, tackiness, rebound, you can all feel from minute one. Of course there is no comment of trail performance and tread pattern. That comes later. These are street tires though so we can't expect miracles. I can also choose to say nothing and say, "oh, black tires". But I'd rather share what I observe.
