I 100% cannot wait to get one of these. A budget friendly, super scale trail chassis specifically for my LC70. I will likely never use most of the functions, however it is neat to know they are available.

Francis! Get those diffs and transmission gears set up! The main thing I'm interested in is having the option of open diffs. The Mercury is going to make its way beneath a lot of fantastic scale builds. I can't wait!

Hello, could you detail which battery you used? What size fits in the compartment? thank you.

What is your opinion on this chassis versus the BRX01. Is this a car you can take to the trails? - who is this chassis for? I like the "drifting" was that in 2WD mode?

I don't know if I agree about "nice bounce", seems really lacking in damping. But the scale looks are incredible. I'm a big fan of those little, scale tires.
@RCReviewChannel
@RCReviewChannel Жыл бұрын
For sure, you are right. I think I’m factoring that it has no damping at all and it’s not overly bouncy
@guest6423
@guest6423 Жыл бұрын
The dampers are supposed to receive some diff fluid, which fills the space between the sliding parts. It's low tech, and will eventually work its way out, but you can tune the damping.

So nice I plan to get one…Is it worth $300?
@RCReviewChannel
@RCReviewChannel Жыл бұрын
I think so. Drivetrain is good and the suspension is money! The fact that the locking diffs, 2/speed, 2wd are remotely controllable is not easy to achieve.

I’ll definitely get one of this, just waiting for Amain to get it “In-stock” (I’m not ready to pre-order lol).. thanks(salamat) for the detailed review boss-man!

I really appreciate the video - but what you say does not quite align with what we see. The suspension is not great, the turning radius is abysmal for a car that can unlock the diffs. And I am skeptical about longevity / robustness. It would be great to get BRX02 for half the price, but apparently that is now that this chassis is. I am not saying it looks bad for $300, but it shows.
@RCReviewChannel
@RCReviewChannel Жыл бұрын
Right on. The diffs were never unlocked in the video. It will turn better unlocked or in 2wd. For $300. A great option to have in my opinion and a great match for this body. I don’t see how this would break for the kind of use it’s gonna get
@matusknives
@matusknives Жыл бұрын
@@RCReviewChannel Thank you - I missed the fact that the diffs were locked. But I think the longevity still is a fair concern (fear?) - since this is basically a trail truck (as most scale trucks are) it will unlikely see hard falls from cliffs or large stones, but it may be run for prolonged periods of time and thus be susceptible to wear or material failure due to vibrations. Again - there is no obvious reason why that should be the case other than it being a new and untested product.

I really like the movement of the chassis released by Killer Body. That's cool.👍👍👍But the jeep lock device is unnatural. Thumbs wide up!!👍👍💯👍👍

I love your videos, awesome presentation… I have a quick question for you. What is the battery? All I know is it’s square and flat that goes into the chassis compartment, Nobody seems to know including hobby shops.

Not sure how long it’s been going on but since I’ve gotten into crawling a couple years ago there have been so many new crawlers from 1/10 to 1/24-1/18 seems like every month. Has it always been this way?

I would say the explosion started about 5-6 years ago. It became revolutionary, and it's become the majority of RC cars sold. So many new products and innovations have arrived. That's actually why I started this channel 5 years ago.

We'll take it out on the woods for sure. But it's not a crawler. It's so low to the ground with tiny tires like the way pricier BRX01 and BRX02

I don't think they designed it with performance in mind. It's more like a scale trail truck. :)

You are the problem with the scale RC truck hobby. Where in the world does it say that it is a crawler guy? You probably look at a drift build and ask "BuT CaN iT CRaWl" educate yourself my man.

It’s a scale truck you want a crawler go buy a trx4… I’ve been in this hobby since we were using Tamiya bodies on custom chassis people like you kill scale crawling always talking about performance yall like giant tires cheap flimsy lexan no interiors BODY POSTS and have the nerve to call your rigs scale… we need to separate the two niches imo so yall can have your lexan giant tire crap and we can have our scale models…. So tired of the BuT CaN It CrAwL? crowd
