Seeing that black number #3 car going around the track on the pace laps going 200 mph is truly awesome, what’s interesting is the fact that Richard Childress put in a different gear, so it did bump the chip a little bit but cleaned up nicely, but what a great video!! that’s a nice way to remember one of the greatest drivers of all time Rest In Peace to the Intimidator, truly a special experience, indeed!! 😎😎

Rob Hawkins ...I live very close to Daytona Int’l Speedway and have followed Dale’s career from the very beginning of his Winston Cup days. I will NEVER stop telling folks of the times I was able to get up close to The Man. The unrestricted access we had to all the drivers back then was truly unbelievable, even more so than what a fan with a garage pass can get today. I’m here to tell you his aura is STILL with us in that garage area, even though he’s been gone almost 19 years now...

All you young kids that never saw NASCAR (real Nascar) racing from the 70's / 80's / 90's missed the best form of true stock car racing EVER. Bodies that fit the templates, 5 lug nuts per wheel, a real gear box with a shifter, and a carburetor ... and guys with a set of stones driving them. Real racers who actually knew how to work on their own stuff, and had real personalities. God how I miss those days.
