Building the entrance and exits on opposite sides of the platform seems to get guests on and off quicker. When they're on the same side, the guests have to get off the platform before it lets new guests on. With the opposite sides, they seems to get on and off at the same time which is good to maximise throughput. I also tend to put the entrance near the front of the train and the exit towards the rear. It's not a massive difference, but just a nice detail :)

Brakes are also good in my experience for taming wild intensity ratings. I think it also makes the ride more exciting, if the cars are slowing down and speeding up rather than barelling through the whole course.
@Lilliaace5 жыл бұрын
Regular breaks can make a huge difference in intensity and excitement. I remember having a coaster with 9 intensity. I removed ONE piece of track and put a brake in its place, intensity fell to 7 🤷♀️
@steelehaspel55056 жыл бұрын
I avoid intensity ratings over 8.0 to attract more guests with lower intensity preferences to the ride. You can do so by simply adding flat sections in between the bottoms sections of a hill. Instead of leveling out and immediately climbing again, insert a flat track or two. You see this in the great pre-designed rides.
@BigBrotherMateyka6 жыл бұрын
Correct. Intensity ratings of 8.0 seem to be a threshold for most guests. Employing a method of level tracks between hills will reduce jerk physics and minimize positive vertical G forces, which helps lower excessive intensity ratings.
@MylesoftheMillers5 жыл бұрын
Steele Haspel Wouldn’t this increase the intensity rating because the guest would be riding at a high speed for a longer amount of time at the bottom of the hills? I’m not entirely sure how those three stats are calculated

@@MylesoftheMillers Overall, the G's (lateral, then vertical) have more impact on a coaster's intensity rating than its speed... unless it's going stupid fast for the entire ride. If any of those stats are high enough to be potentially problematic, they will turn red in the test results menu shown in the video. P.S. I'm aware how old this comment is, but this info could be useful for anyone looking here.

@@MylesoftheMillers You are currently moving with a couple thousand of Kilometers per Second. trough the Universe. Thankfully, you can not feel Speed whatsoever, if not being alive would be kinda impossible. The only thing more intense, that Speed will let you feel, is Wind. You can feel Wind on your Face. What you *feel* is Accelleration, *NOT* Speed. Speed changes yes, that's Acceleration, but not Speed. Therefore a Coaster with a few flat pieces on the Bottum *IS* slightly less Intense by Logic alone, because your Speed doesn't change as rapidly - therefore there is less Acceleration, that you could feel. To prove the Point: Have you ever been on say a Train, a Car or a Plane? If so, you most likely experiences higher Speeds then on any Coaster you have ever riden. I can at least say, that I haven't been on Coasters, that are riding significantly more then around 100km/h. But I've been frequently on high Speed Trains. They move with up to 280km/h. The fastest Coaster in the World reaches 240. If Speed was what made a Ride even remotely inense, then let me tell ya: A fucking Traintrip across Europe would be to intense for anyone to endure.

Same here. All my custom designs have 1 Excitement and 10+ Intensity. So I always just use pre-built designs.
@xa0wnerx6 жыл бұрын
MetalSmasherGaming The intensity must be too high, on the data tab of the rid, look out for red lateral or vertical gs, it means your ride is going too fast around sharp corners or on inversions like a vertical loop. These high g forces translate to high intensity which destroys excitement

@@kathryneversole4845 The toolkit he has is an expansion pack which you have to pay for. If you wanna buy it, go to the menu of the game and on the bottom right is a small '+' sign. Press that and you see 3 different expansion packs you can buy. You should really buy it because you can make your own scenarios, import custom rct2/rct2 content, and also share your own creations.
