There's another small design I found reasonably useful for the Corkscrew coaster - a launched design featuring 6 station pieces, a cutback, two back-to-back corkscrews (each going in opposite directions, one away from the station, the other towards it) and another cutback. It's slightly less cheesy than the micro-Corkscrew model (which is still definitely useful) and also gets decent stats provided you don't launch it at anything higher than 50 miles per hour - 42 or 45 mph should do the trick

I also use a version of the double cutback coaster using steep twists if I want to place a cheap and easy looping coaster instead of corkscrew (or don't have access to the corkscrew yet). Powered launch out of the station into a steep twist, level out, place one level piece, then drop into another steep twist in the same direction, so you're now going in the opposite direction of the start. Place a vertical loop that moves toward the station (right loop if your twists were to the right), then repeat the "steep twist cutback" but without the extra space in the middle. In both this and the corkscrew version you demo'd here, you can save space by putting your stations inside the loop and pathing out via the cutbacks (or putting queue line on top of the station section for pathing excitement bonuses).

Interesting how I stumbled upon the micro coaster design by just simple experimentation. Never really known what goes in to the rides scores in details. I sometimes use those micro designs because they seem to fit in the park. Often a bit more advanced than just a simple inversion since I build mainly for looks. And while an efficient moneymaker with small footprint it also gets a bit boring if you just put out a lot of those and do not look realistic. But a fair few micro designs can look realstics enough that there believable. I guess the smallest one should really called nano. ^_^

would that small ride be the most money/minute for its setup cost? so if you take its income per minute or any other unit of time, and divide it by the setup cost, do you get a higher value then any other ride?
@MarcelVos4 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure but I would bet that it indeed is the best moneymaker per dollar invested. That said, there are other factors that determine how much money you make. If you make a more expensive ride with higher stats but still a very short ride time, guests actually spend more money per hour going on those rides than going on the microcorkscrew, meaning you might make more money in the end. My record for making the most money in one month from ride tickets (a bit over €500,000) consists of 16 twister coasters with 4 stations that have a capacity of almost 20000 guests per hour. They are quite expensive but they make more money than 200 microcorkscrew coasters.
