Not sure if you can adjust the prop angle on this boat but if you adjust higher, it will help it sit out of the water and get higher speed on a calm day especially with those batteries at the front.

You can tell in turns as well, also by the way it digs and spins, BUT, devil`s advicate here, just saying that, under windy conditions and for newer pilots, it might be an ok idea to be a bit front heavy and also have the trim aimed down, it makes it less edgy and bouncy, not fast at all compared to a "risky" setup, but safe and stable for n00bs

First thought looking at the ride and inside the hull is: Saddle packs aligned with the motor and ESC instead of one huge lump in front there, maybe even further back, and adjust trim from there. You`re carrying most of the mass WAYYY up front in that setup, (unlike pretty much all setups I`ve seen tbh) and the motor is pushing all that upfront weight through the water. Keep in mind that the angle of the axle, is the way the boat is being pushed, even if the motormount is fastened to the hull, and that is the direction the boat will be trying to move. Effectively, you`re lifting the weight up front, "holding/pushing" from much farther back, and the barbell principle says that`s bad, even on water hehe. Try holding it at the motor position and lift that battery up, bet you`ll feel what I mean. A setup like this is probably ok for beginners, the boat is fun, still very fast, but you`re pushing the components and getting reduced performance and this type of weight distribution is something I`ve never even seen. It`s nice and stable going straight, but will spin easier in turns, due to the upfront weight pressing the wavebreaking part of the bottom hull down when going into corners, letting the rear spin out, because that front part of the hull basically stops being a wavebreaker, and turns into a brake :p I see it`s a bit twitchy on 6s with that GoPro, and that could be settings for steering, but it can also be that the rudder authority is weak, due to the poor balance of the boat. (small rudder trying to move a lot of weight from far away) That being said, I`m more used to traditional hulls, and this one has some differences in the stern compared to what I have experience with. But MY opinion is that as little ass possible of the hull should be in the water when going fast, and that will never happen with the battery up front. Sorry for the essay of a comment, but c`est la vie eh? ;)

@miguelsalami4 жыл бұрын
50-51mph Not bad but that would depend on the price point at least to me. The boat looks & runs good as far as trim appeared to be nose heavy probably due to such a large battery positioned in the front. I noticed there were no trim tabs on the transom so to give this boat some lift a pair of adjustable K-planes should do the trick & get that hull raised up a bit & that will also increase the boats speed.👍👍

That battery is huge. I think the boat would perform a LOT better with a smaller battery. I would try a 3000 to 4000mah. Weight makes a huge difference with boats and would probably fix the trim issues you noticed. Run time should only be about 6 to 7 min. Sweet boat though. I want one!

Couple things about ir thermometers. First they wont read accurately on shiny surfaces (your 6s battery) and second the sensing in in a cone of ever increasing diameter. Holding the gun even a few inches away from what your trying to read will give you the average of what youre trying to read and everything around it. Holding the gun as far as you were especially on the battery you might as well not even bother as the reading is going to be really inaccurate.
