If you’re the driver, you don’t wanna go too fast unless you wanna get wet or make sure you have the hatch closed. It’s also a good way to clean all the mud & dirt off the tank tracks, etc..

They may look cool, but there’s a lot of physical work involved in maintaining their operation ability. They are noisy and dirty. If you can accept the bumps and noise and bruises and heavy lifting, you’re good to go. I was the captain of a tank company in the late 50s and early 60s. We loved our tanks and we loved our comrades. All flag-waving and glory.
