I have an Ultra Stick 30cc and Extra 330SC 30cc. Can I use clear 3M BLENDERM Tape RC airplane Hinges in stead of ?

this does little to increase the laminar flow of the airfoil, and gap sealing the little crack does very little to improve performance. What would be more beneficial would be a taped flexible continuous seal along the airfoil shape covering the entire V groove in the wing as is practiced on full scale sailplanes. If you a professional competitor and you think every little thing is important sealing the gap might make you feel like you have some kind of small edge.

Yeah this does absolutely nothing lmao Like you said an actual gap seal like on full-scale aircraft would reduce drag and stall speed but again the effect wouldn't be noticeable. Even full-scale gap seals only increase performance by a couple knots and is only really noticeable in fuel consumption

That photo is of laminar flow or fowler flaps. The hinge line in these sport planes aren't the same thing and the gain from sealing them is pretty much nill. Notice when he opens the hinge on that elevator there's no gap. Waste your time if you want, up to you.
