RCV Shaft Spline Failure

Having the same exact issues with mine, locker end looks brand new, and im getting the same skipping from the video. Thanks for having this out there, was very helpful!!!

Very glad that the video has helped… RCV sent me a new end to assemble…. Clearly there heat treatment is having some quality control issues… good luck my brother! 👍🏻🇺🇸

@@reconjeeper0321 mine dont seem to be as bad as yours were, and my c clip was still there and had to beat the 2 pcs apart… hopefully i dont have issues getting it replaced. Havent cleaned the outer slug yet so not sure what it looks like.

Well I’ve had it happen to both sides… gave RCV the D number of the shafts… they replaced but took about 5 weeks… so I reinstalled stocks while waiting. Good luck. Also I was always able to get a person to talk with at RCV👍🏻

I have to admit, I expected better… hopefully they once again stand by their product and send me a new one… meanwhile I’m in a holding pattern.👍🏻🇺🇸

I was considering these on a ford 44. But the price you pay and how their warranty works has me thinking otherwise.

I would think twice…. Already had to change another stub shaft. If I had to do again … I’d go with 1350 U joints! Good luck!💪🏻🇺🇸

Yes and it took some time, but they did replace and give parts, I rebuilt the bell end.👍🏻🇺🇸

@@FISHONOVERLAND they honored my warrant twice … as each side would eventually strip out running 37 inch tires. Pathetic really….

Yeah… it hurts .. I am a big advocate for their products, perhaps heat treatment issues on the hardening process? U sure? But they have stood behind their shafts in the past… I’m hopeful they once again stand by their product!👍🏻🇺🇸
