I got gifted a guys plane collection and kits and came with a extra 300 that's around 60in and a pitts around 50-55. Havent flown them yet bc they look good hung up but this summer I'm going to abd going to attempt my first build. He even gave me a Royal b17 kit that ill prolly end up selling

In the beginning you state you are not using power distribution on your receiver. What exactly is that? Love your videos. They convinced me to using a tx16s and elrs.

On high current draw servos, people like to use power distribution boards so the current isn't exposed to RX pins/traces that might not be equipped for high current applications. Here's what I use when I want one: www.servocity.com/8-channel-servo-power-node/

I noticed you have a batt air plugin on your battery, are you going to do a long term review of those, cause I know some people left reviews saying it killed one cell of their batteries, like what happens to the Spektrum smart batteries. Another thing are you going to look at the new gen’s ace g tech smart batteries

I have a MT12 with an internal ELRS / I have a speed boat that flipped upside down in the middle of pond, can not unplug the reviver, I have a recovery boat to go out and get the speed boat using the same radio. Will ELRS model match let me switch from one receiver to the other with both receivers plugged in? Please help! Love your videos 😊

Wow beautiful plane and you finally did a video with the new Er series Radio Master receiver. I'm actually currently setting up a XFLY (PNF) T-7A Red Hawk w/64mm 12 Blade EDF with Radio Master Er6. Question…could you create a video that shows how to set up a 3D airplane using TX16s? I’ve been watching your channel for a while and really like your tutorials. I’m interested in setting up Flaperons. I’m also interested in any other settings you would recommend. I have the E-Flite Extra 300 as my beginner 3D model plane. I’ve been flying 3D in the sim for a few weeks as well. Thanks in advance for the advice!

My 3D plane setups are the simplest of all. No mixes, no flaps, no flaperons/spoilerons, no dual rates, no gyros. Just XA deflection per book with expo at 70% for aileron and elevator, and 45% for rudder. Hands down the easiest radio setups of everything I own.

Now that yo have flown laser and ARS 67" what is a better airframe for your flying style?

They're equivalent. I like the Laser slightly better because the color scheme is very bright. The ARS scheme is excellent too, so this is really splitting hairs.

Coming from a Flex RV8 G2 60e and wanting to get a 67in balsa plane. Would you recommend the ARS300 pnp, Edge 540 pnp, Extra NG pnp or Extreme flight Extra 260? Fly sport acro and wanting to learn more 3d.

ARS300 is a Group A plane for me. I get better results from it than the others.

@@RCVideoReviews I see you are flying the same battery I am flying. Hope to maiden mine tomorrow. You had the battery against the xt90, but do you know where your cg is? I can not find anything that recommends a starting cg for this plane? So far I am super impressed with the quality , just never had a plane that didn't have a suggested cg to start out with.

so you have had 67 inch and 70 inch frames. Are you liking the 67 inch frames with 6s power or the 70 inch with 12s.

What kind of amperage are you seeing at 18lbs thrust? Motor is rated for 2300w and 110a. My test showed 2400w and 108a. So I consider that top of the spec for that motor.

@RCVideoReviews I don't have a meter to measure that high, but one guy on the forums said he's seeing 120 amps with the same setup but doubt its seeing that in the air. From my experience, these systems can tolerate some overcurrent for short periods. 262 flights and mine is doing fine at an average consumption of 550ma/min

ESCs can, motor wire insulation tends to melt when it gets hot. May not happen the first time, or the second time, but if you keep sending 30% more current through a motor than you should, it's eventually going to get you. I think it's not a great idea to put current through a motor and not know what it is. You're not talking about a slight bump of bust current here, you're 30% higher.
