It's already built and ready for the maiden. I have the trainer setup with 2xTX16s and a WT01. So Freddie will be able to fly fly fly tomorrow! I'm looking forward to it. I have a feeling this will be an enjoyable little plane to fly.

Nice plane and learning to fly on and off water is fun. It's cheap enough to replace if something major happens.

Very nice looking. Cessna 150 Semi scale. I like trainers and scale looking airplanes that fly good for doing touching goes in the afternoon. I can't wait to try it out..😁

Good luck Freddie , a small tip from a relatively new flyer with good success I’ll share , before you take off , and your stood there checks all done spend a moment in your mind imagining the flight that your gonna do where your gonna go kinda play it out in your head a bit , it works for me , just thought I’d share , best of luck sir and above all else ….. It will bind with FlySky AFHDS 2A receivers and those are readily available, but that is the only protocol you'll get with this transmitter. If you think you may want to grow into it, look at a PnP plane and get the Radiomaster Pocket with Express LRS, that will give you substantially more options both with the radio and receivers.

The first time it feels like they're going to break. Push down and turn them. Do it with the wing off to make sure you get the direction right.

Those twist locks are 1 of the very few weaknesses of FMS planes. Ripped the thinning foam around them out on the first excursion into the scrub with my FMS SuperEZ v4 - replaced with standard rubber band hold-downs and she still flies beautifully to this day. A lovely gentle flier! 😊

I used 4in1 to bind to internal IA6 Rx, and I used WT-01 to bind D16 from trainer TX16s. It would have been a LOT easier to switch the internal RX to ELRS PWM with SBUS to the Reflex and just used MPM in AFHDS2A_RX mode to allow the other radio to bind via AFHDS2A to the MPM. The WT-01 works fine though--just an extra piece hanging off the radio.

Yup. I'll do the maiden with their RTF radio as that's what came with the plane and I owe that much to FMS. After the maiden, we'll re-bind to my field radio and Freddy will use my heli TX16s for the trainer radio bound to the WT-01.

@@RCVideoReviews that’s why I try to tell newbie’s to buy either a PNP or a BNF and also get a computerized controller so that Buddy Boxing can be done easily. I’m an instructor at our field and it makes it so much easier. I have the TX16s and a Spektrum so I’m able to buddy box with most unless they get the RTF. The radio that comes with the RTF’s makes Buddy Boxing pretty much impossible as far as I know. Unless you’re doing what you’re doing. If you know how to do a Buddy Box with the RTF controller, you should do a video of how to set it up.

@@davidknutz3314 Using that RTF rudimentary Flysky transmitter Buddy Boxing can be done several ways. 1 ... get the adapter for the trainer port on the back of the Tx to convert it to a cable connection to the trainer port of your Master Radio. (I AM assuming here that this Tx DOES allow a PPM output like the FS-i6/i6X etc transmitters!) 2... if NOT then either make up a powered Flysky receiver (as with the WT-01 which runs on FRSky) and plug the PPM output of that into the Master Radio trainer port. If you have a Radiomaster Multi Radio you could just use a cheap-and-cheerful Flysky A8S receiver and take the 8.4v and ground power for it from the pins in the module bay (turn External Module "On" to switch power on) and again feed the PPM output into the trainer port. 3 ... if you have 1 Multi Module available on a Multi Radio AND any other transmitting Module also installed then connect the other module to a matching receiver on the plane and bind the RTF Tx to the Trainer Radio's Multi Module using the Flysky AFHDS 2A RECEIVER protocol as described elsewhere in these comments. 4 ... OR, for really cheap-and-cheerful, get a Flysky FS-i6/i6X radio, bind it to the plane's stock FS-iA6 receiver. Then get the standard Flysky Buddy Box cable to connect the 2 Flysky transmitters - OR, if you find that the stock el-cheapo Tx DOES NOT put out a Trainer PPM signal from the rear port then use the powered Flysky receiver process OR power it from the Trainer Radio - might require some soldering on the Master Radio. Actually getting the venerable cheap but programmable FS-i6X would give a great upgrade for control of the aircraft - Rates, Expo, Throttle Lock, 20-plane memory, possibility of telemetry etc. AND you can buy a lot of rock-solid Flysky receivers for the cost of 1 Spektrum item! 😉😊
