What the hell? This was a nauseating interview. I saw with mine own eyes the baracks where the U.N. soldiers played volleyball while 65,000 people were killed. There is intense, justified resentment towards France because they had there selves neck deep in blood. Shame on the bbc. Shame on France. I will be in Rwanda again for my fifth trip this July and let me tell you; Rwanda is moving forward despite the French governments best attempts to destroy that country. It is a vibrant, safe, stable place to be. The government has been the smartest of any African country in terms of how it deals with aid groups. I've had many conversations with people in rural communities and I can tell you that they are happy with the government of Kagame. That being said, they do hope there is a peaceful transition when his term is up.

What H.E Kagame admits in the interview is not admitting that he ordered the assassination of late Habyarimana. I do not see any correlation of his statements here and the title given to the video here. The time to mislead Africans this way is almost over. It is not surprising that the RDI-Rwanda Rwiza (I swear these guys can't make Rwanda better than Kagame did and still does) are the ones who posted this to title it wrongly). We patriots shall always fight alongside our leaders to fight damn liars intending to prevent us from even our fundamental right. President Kagame is a hero. He is a savior not a killer.

French here. I see a lot of blatant racism here. While I agree that France's expectations are ridiculous and that their role in the genocide is shameful, do not forget that it is the French government which is responsible, not the French themselves. A LOT of French are of african origin, and very little of them care about Africa at all. Just have a look at the average French attitude when the colonial empire : very few cared. Do not mix the French people that swim, like any african, asian, american etc. in many daily problems, with its government, which is anyway a bunch of assholes leading a pseudo democracy and that yes, effectively continues to control a part of the economy in its former empire.

Kagame has asked a brilliant question here which anyone with a working brain would pause and ponder on; If it was actually him who had been killed, would this judge have given the same verdict?. Of course HELL NO!!. Kagame was not their man!! Their puppet was assassinated and true to their character they will stick with him even in death.. This interviewer is intolerably biased against kagame.. He seems to ignorantly think that just because a judge got a few cases right (which is debatable) , then they are always right!!! He even seems to think that the assassinated president was an angel!!, That he had wronged nobody, how gullible he is!!

The problem in Africa is simple! Africans allow themselves to be exploited and it's a horrible pill to swallow. What I do find interesting however is how Mobutu was put into power by western europe and allowed to stay in power from 1965 all the way to 1997 and everything was all good as long as he did what they wanted him to do. But now here is the incident that happened in Rwanda in 1994 when the Hutu presidents plane was shot down near the Kigali airport. Juvenal Habyarimana, had just signed the arusha accords that would have allowed the Tutsi and the Hutus to share power in the Rwandan government, which ultimately would have left the French without a seat. What I don't understand is how can the French and other European countries, who colonialized different countries different countries though out the African continent suddenly say that they had no hand in the chaos when the bottom falls out, and everyone is guilty of war crimes except them! And what messed up is that the African population ( for the most part) eats all of this shit up! African brothers and sisters stop believing in the media, please!!!!!
@hangingthief2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's hard for me to believe that the reason why kagame was _eventually_ allowed to stop the genocide instead of Washington allowing the UN to stop the genocide sooner had nothing to do with having the RPF in power as a geopolitical ally to help dispose of Mobutu so anglo-American could finally get his mining concessions for companies like American mineral fields inc. and why did the French create the Great lakes crisis instead of stopping the genocide? I honestly do not know the truth and I'm not totally informed on the matter, all I know for sure is the geopolitical results of the genocide ultimately played no small part in hundreds of billions of dollars of minerals being left up for grabs.
@tell-it-like-it-is2 жыл бұрын
@@hangingthief and there it is. The last part of you statements summed it up. All you ever have to do is follow the money. That was the reason behind the entire thing. Money power and influence. Kagame did not wait for permission to stop the Genocide. Had Kagame not made the decision to go in himself, many more people would have gotten whipped out. and the UN was and always has been a useless organization if you ask me. When the trouble started, the UN reduced their presence when they should have done the exact opposite. It was the UN along with the bias media, let all the major players of the carnage walk away and muddy the waters with a barrage of lies.
@razgriz9146 Жыл бұрын
@@hangingthief ah yes, brilliant logic. "America didn't intervene in the Rwandan Genocide because they couldn't get control of Rwanda's natural resources" And if America did intervene and stopped the genocide, then you'd be whining and crying about how they only did it just so they could control said resources. In which case the Americans were better off not getting involved. Especially if Rwandans are just going to have a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" approach to everything.

I'm open to the possibility that kagame was involved in Habyarimana's assassination but the French have much less credibility in this matter so I'll go out on a limb and say Kagame probably didn't have much to do with the assassination. Both forensic and eye witness testimonies support this. I am actually quite amazed at how little shame the French judge has in offering his opinion while staying completely silent about the elephant in the room -France's active role in the genocide

It literally makes zero sense for him to have done it- RPF had literally nothing to lose and everything to gain with the signing of the Arusha accords and leading up to the assassination there was enough tension between Habyarimana and the Hutu Power elements in the MRND that keeping him alive and getting the BBTG set up was the most optimal course of action for the RPF. It makes way more sense that Habyarimana’s own allies did it as a casus belli in order to execute the genocide which had been planned for over a year at that point and which could not occur if the BBTG was set up. Kagame did not kill Habyarimana, Hutu-power did.

He did not confirm that he killed him but he insinuate that no one has the right to ask him the deaf of Habyarimana because he fought with him even if he killed him, it was his right and no one should ask him from France the deaf of Habyarimana because even Habyarimana was trying to kill him however Kagame did not kill Habyarimana, Habyarimana was killed by Hutu extremist, angry from the peace agreement signature by Habyarimana, searching the tripping for the Tutsis Genocide and the deaf of Habyarimana cannot make Rwandans loose their time. Habyarimana got his due.

I wonder if you can still say the same thing, he is the most hated leader that ever led rwanda. *He has a beef with tanzania (east)* *He has a beef with congo (west)* *He has beef with burundi (south)* *He recently closed the border with uganda (north).* He made every neighboring country his enemy, what a fool? *BLOOD IS THICKER.* He is starving rwandans, no trade, no jobs only death. He tried to start a genocide in burundi, the same genocide he executed in rwanda and it failed. Why? While he was supported by US, russia intervened and helped burundi, game over. Now he has rebels in some parts fighting with his soldiers, the rebels are led by a tutsi genocide survivor but most of them rebels are hutus.

It is a crime when you do as a coverup of your actual intentions. This could have ended differently if kagame did not kill that president, kagame had signed for those rights you mentioned but *on top of that he went ahead and did something that was only necessary for him and his financial supporters: start killings to get total power and control.*

In retrospect, this video validates Kagame’s version completely. Every evidence judge Brugger brought forward was false or fabricated. The judge’s own successor was obliged to start the investigation from scratch. In the end, Kagame was cleared. Cleared by a French investigation!

Trevidic obeyed Macron's orders. In this vidéo Kakame confessed hé IS thé responsible for thé triggering of thé génocide. Moreover he's thé responsible of Congo génocide
@Dragases68945 ай бұрын
Trouduc , it's a confession on behalf of Kagame. It invalidates on thé contrary Kagame's version as it cleared Kagame of any responsability. 😊 Trevidic was working following a political specification and botched his investigation 😊
