better than 90% of "tutorial" videos stuffed with technical terms and jargons. honestly most of these supposedly instructional videos sound more like "imma show off how much i know and sound so smart" compared to this video. this video gets straight to the point, every step-by-step explained with examples

You are right. Most of the video makers are just showing off

This was extremely helpful for someone coming from STATA to R and learning what the point was of R Markdown instead of just saving things in the Source window in a .r file

Excellent tutorial ! same as some folks mentioned, always neglected going in this Markdown direction falsely assuming that it would demand too much time to learn it. I was totally wrong, and I am very glad I found your video.

Wow, thank you for this contribution. I had neglected this essential tool due to a misperception it would consume too much time to learn. Yet I'm up and running after just 20 minutes (more like 15 minutes with 1.5x speed). Thank you again, I really appreciate your time and effort.

yes indeed... we had a class last week about it and the prof said you'll fight with it for 2 weeks and then you will love it. i was like oh gosh no... another R steep learning curve with programmng nightmares of forgetting a ) somewhere. then i thought lets ask youtube and pfew... glad... Thank you very much for this clear description..

Very cool tutorial. Thanks for sharing! Rmarkdown is a bit similar to Jupyter Notebook (e.g. Python). I prefer the Jupyter Notebook layout, but everything else feels much better in R-Studio!

I don't know if this is even going to be useful but if anyone is starting their coding journey the key he is referencing under ESC could also be referenced as a 'backtic' again I have no idea if anyone else was confused but figured why not leave a message, not trying to criticize this very well done video.

Basically most of the R youtube contents i've seen sounds like one pro teaching other pros how to use R. Just do one unconvoluted example without a lot of talking. For example, i've never seen a video that even bothers to talk about what to do to the preexisting text you see when you create a markdown file
