Welcome back to Jinjer. The band writes the music and Tatiana writes the lyrics and her writing is quite clever and unique in the metal world. "Perennial" is about Tatiana's struggles with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and how she overcomes it every winter and returns like the perennial flowers in spring. It is a good idea to have access to the lyrics. Jinjer shines in live performances more than most bands. I highly recommend reacting to "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev or my favourite "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records). For songs on the lighter side react to "Teacher, Teacher" (OMV) or "I speak Astronomy" (OMV) and, yes, "Pisces" live studio session. I enjoyed your reaction (subbed).

Saw them live in November for the first time and they blew me away...not only with Tati's singing, which was amazing, but also with how tight and technical the band was! I am not a fan of metal music for the most part; Tool has been my music of choice since the mid-90's, but Jinjer has made me rethink any preconceived notions I have about metal. Maybe it's the progressive and groove style of their music that caught my ear but I'm telling you...you owe it to yourself to continue down this rabbit hole. Cheers! 🍻 Pit of Consciousness - live in Kiev On the Top - live in Kiev Retrospection - OMV

Likewise regarding Tool, and for the most part I'm not a fan of the growling style of vocals, but I really like what I've seen of these guys so far! Thanks for watching!
@ASMRtist-pz2ix2 жыл бұрын
I saw them in November as well and yes they were amazing. Funny thing is tool are very similar yet so different. Three piece band one singer. Instruments all compliment each other very well. Bass fills to compliment guitar in both bands is just what they do! The time changes in songs. The guitarist playing leads as rhythm is another similarity that draws you in. The smash you in the face bass with the slow melodic breakdowns to take you elsewhere in the song is like no other. Love these guys love tool equally. Both bands perform at a very high level live also. Seen them both live and surely would go again. Quick side note… suicide silence was very good also for never hearing them. Glad I saw them too!
@nutrybe2 жыл бұрын
@@ASMRtist-pz2ix I hadn't thought about it like that...but you're right! There are a lot of similarities between the two bands in their compositions and their use of instruments. Good catch! 🍻

Pisces live studio version is the one to go for, perfect sound management, great close-ups on the other band members and their play. For live on stage performance: "Pit of consciousness" live in Kiev, "Who´s gonna be the one", but some of the older stuff is also pretty awesome. Good music videos "Home Back", "Sit, Stay, Roll Over", "Wallflower", "Disclosure", "I speak Astronomy", "Ape" (kind of underrated), "Bad Water" (no screams). Be it live or in a video, Tati does not just sing, she lives a song, be it on stage or in a video.

What a wonderful perspective on the seasons. Tatiana, yes, is amazing, however the band plays at a level of their own. The way the music goes together with the three instruments is top notch. Everyone in the band compliments each other. The bass fills for the guitar are outstanding. The guitarist playing what many would consider leads as rhythm is amazing. The drummer, my god hats off to that guy! Never over or under done. Top notch 10 plus for these guys. Very happy to see the success they are having for the hard work they put in to this.

Great reaction again guys. I had the privilege of seeing Jinjer and meeting them last October in Los Angeles. The concert was pure 🔥🔥🔥 and yes Tatiana sounds exactly like this live, and the whole band is incredibly tight when they play, they are all phenomenal at what they do. As far as how they are as people, Tati, Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums) are so down to earth, very humble, and just kind people. I told them how excited I was to see them perform for the first time, they all told me thank you and Tati told me, "I'm excited too, and nervous* I told her nervous? why? you've been performing for a long time. She told me that no matter how many times she performs, she always gets nervous before a show, you definitely wouldn't know it when she hits that stage though. Continue to enjoy your Jinjer journey, pick any Jinjer song to react to, they are all uniquely different, but are all amazing. If you pull up the lyrics, you'll find that when Tati "growls" and your reading along, it will become very clear to you what she is saying and eventually your ears will pick up on her lyrics easily when she starts to growl. Peace and as always, stay Metal you two. 😊😊😊🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶
