RDR2 wins when it comes to world interaction, storytelling, atmosphere, minūte details (i.e. horse testi shrinkage, opossums faking death, weather-world interactivity etc. REGARDLESS GTA VI will be the RDR2 of the GTA franchise. The detail, we can only speculate but it will be nothing short of jaw droppingly fulfilling. In Rockstar i trust 💯

RDR2 lacks in the visual fidelity field, in the sense that the textures are not so good even at ultra. They remain smudged at some areas, while in others there is barely any contour definition, even with tessellation and PMO, each set to ultra. Well, the high definition texture mod fixes it anyway....so yeah, doesn't matter.

I believe GTA 5 was a huge stepping stone for the RDR2's design. Since GTA 5 was so great and ahead of its time R* thought hay what are the short comings in the game we can improve in the next game and one think I noticed was the stuff in the map. GTA's map was big but empty so they were like hey let's make it more filled up and engaging. GTA 5's playable map is actually larger than RDR2's map but RDR2 feels much larger because of that. The only thing that kinda disappointed me in RDR2 was the lack of under water stuff but they got away with it because of the timeline.

Rdr2 has a concept and setting set in ancient times, so Rockstar focuses the game features on natural life, for example we can burn trees, kill animals and skin them, we can build houses from wood. While GTA 5 is set in urban areas and in the present, Rockstar focuses the features in this game on vehicles, buildings, and also differences in npc activities
