I’m on my third playthough and I’ve just noticed something I didn’t notice the first 2 times. When your on Guarma Bill is told by Dutch to do some scouting after he rested and he’s not seen again until you fight the Cuba navy and Dutch is nowhere to be seen after you rescue Javier. There’s evidence chapter 5 was meant to be longer and this is more proof. Bill either found something which you and him explore together or he captured and your wear meant to go rescue him and there’s another mission that involved Dutch somewhere outside camp. And there’s no way Fussar discovered the truth about Dutch and his gang THAT quickly. What I would give to see that 5 hour content restored.

You could be right cause I remember that well. I think that photo with Arthur and Eliza may have something to do with the scouting and there was a mission for it. Sad we didn’t see that mission too because the guarma segment was way too short in my opinion seeing as it had a big island and was major to the plot too.

@@charismacookie598 Maybe after they decided to scrap Issac and Eliza from Chapter 1 R* decided Arthur and Eliza should meet on Guarma and at some point after Dan Houser said “this isn’t going to work” and made a final change. Maybe this is why chapter 5 was reduced to a few missions, because Eliza was a big part of it and they didn’t have time to rewrite that part.

it wouldve been weird for arthur to explore around guarama and do random stuff instead of helping the gang escape lol. it should be a epilogue thing with a plot like john getting a free estate at guarama or something so that gives a reason why john goes there and explores a bit. a lot more realistic than him just getting on a ship to guarama for no reason

I have to agree that it it is probably best that tbey didnt add this in for story mode. I wouldve never been at camp, and wouldve missed out on alot of missable side missions/ companion mission, specific interactions and conversations ect. However, its kind of a waste to not add it to online mode. Its already embarassing that online doesnt have heists, just let us own a house damn it.

I thought this too. It just doesn’t make sense to move into a house when you’re on the run and supposed to be with your gang. And you would’ve missed out of so much stuff related to the gang and you wouldn’t have built any sort of connection to the characters.

13:25 This is probably used for Dutch gangs group photo found in Pearson's shop (after they reconsidered with redoing the intro). Only missing part is the baby's face and upper physics behind the head. They probably removed that later on after they were done with the photo (which on photo can be also seen Bill without beard (which happen to exist in game even with Uncle during stealing from Cornwall wagon mission) and original Arthur's look).

19:10 I’m pretty sure that map is newer since the San Luis river looks thicker, indicating that Mew Austin was in the game, or had been planned and they just started working on it. Also, the shady belle beta/alpha location, sounth of Saint Denis, doesn’t have a peninsula sticking out of lemoyne. And flat iron lake seems to have more water than land, cause the islands aren’t there, and the big chunk of land isn’t there too. (The and sticking out south of flat iron lake) The land across the Lannahechee river seems to be closer to the main land too, and Saint denis doesn’t have rivers going through it.

I'm surprised to see no one talk about the Adler Ranch section, but I do understand that with the few information we have there's not a lot to say. By the look of the concept art, it seems that the place wasn't overtaken by O'Driscoll if there's two kids standing outside without any sign of threat - it come off more as if the Van Der Linde gang stumbled on a random homestead to look for a place to stay. But if it had played similarly than in the game, it seems to me that instead of wanting to avenge her husband, Sadie would likely have been younger (maybe late teen, more likely young adult) and wanted to avenge her family. I don't know how to read codes, so I'm not sure if the Ped Schedules show anything important, but it's an interesting discovery nonetheless. So, in my uninformed opinion, I can't guess much, but I think that's what it's hinting at sound interesting. Anyways, rambling aside, I love your videos about the beta/cut stuff. They are well-made and quite informative. 👍

Sadie is listed as "adlersgirl" for every camp besides El Hueco and another one iirc (cut included) and seeing how the Adler Ranch was at Barrows Lagoon in the beta, I believe we probably went by it in the early intro for the game. I don't think it happened in the first mission like final, but I think O'Driscolls still killed the family, it probably just happened a lot different, and Sadie may not of had a big story at that point, as I believe she was a young girl at some point.

I'm not 100% sure it's accurate, but I found the exact location in New Austin where the photo was taken in New Austin of the gang hanging in Pearson's shop in Rhodes. In addition, there are horse carriages standing in ruins in the area where the photo was taken, these carriages may belong to the gang or this may be the place where the gang was before the game started. The baby that Abigail is holding in the photo is very similar to the baby swaddle found in the game files, if we think that this photo was taken within the game, this swaddle is for Jack. The location I found is the near of Benedict Point.

In RDR1 John mentions that he and the others had never been to New Austin and the second game is about the Van Der Linde gang trying to get to New Austin even when Dutch decides that they're now going to Tahiti. The desert they're in is just a random desert R* used New Austin to save time instead of creating a new area. The swaddle was originally going to be Issac's but because he was cut they decided to give it to Jack and because the photo is blurred R* can get away with it.

Man the Guarma concepts are really fucking amazing, but the whole thing makes me sad. 1. When it comes to tropical islands like that, we're used to seeing either Uncharted/Far Cry etc, modern world people exploring them, or Pirates from 500 years ago, but cowboys exploring it is wild and very unique, and the best part is, it isn't really out of place at all, because these places did exist back then 2. It makes you wonder how vast Guarma really would have been, it's bonkers, imagine exploring the whole fucking Guarma like that. But most interesting bit 3. But also the strangest thing ever, while the in-game explorable Guarma is barely 5% of what is solid in-game, it's even stranger to think that Guarma as a single island (the non-solid LOD makes it out to be absolutely massive in reality) is about the size of 5 US states and 1 Mexican state. Imagine an Island the size of like 10-15% of the US, so it's kind of out of place when you think about it, and it's just one single island. Only valid explanation I can give is that the states in RDR2 are kind of meant to represent heavily compressed versions of these states - maybe in the lore they are considerably bigger, technical limitations don't allow them to be as tremendous. But for the Island, they decided to make a full size island. There was one game that was the size of a real US state, TOS2: Daggerfall, most of which was randomly generated though. It's huge lol.

Amazing finds! Do you think that the 3 properties that appear on the map in the Epilogue were also cut player houses? I've also messed around with the IMAPs in Guarma and found that there are 2 other shipwreck IMAPs on the shore and they both have the same Guarma relic hidden in a lockbox. There's also a campsite on the shore south of Cinco Torres.

I knew of the campsite near Cinco, but did not kno of the extra imap places! I actually found this location with coordinates before we had that imap update, but thats very interesting! I think they probably were... I also think some of the properties in the game that don't have "player" attached to it were probably meant to be player properties too at some point. Cool video and great digging. May I offer some constructive criticism? Your videos are sometimes hard to follow because you show important info and text on separate places on the screen at the same time. Lots of arrows, text coming in and out, pictures, zooming on things, and the gameplay in the background makes you lose focus, there's just too much going on at the same time and attention is shifted constantly. Don't be afraid to take it one thing at a time even if it makes the video longer, it's much easier to follow that way.

I have. Ultimately we think she was unfinished and cut, she has some errors on her texture as well. The script relating to her mission isnt present. There are some leftover code in the language files pointing to Annesburg Sheriffs Office. I think had something to do with the cut drunk Sheriff in Van Horn too. I also believe IKZ could've been a reused model that used to be Mrs Sinclair or possible Sadies Mother.

I noticed that in online (i was playing with my friend for fun there) I noticed unique ambient. Then I turned off sounds and kept music on. And I heard rdr 1 New Austin ambient, rdr 1 whistle theme (idk how to describe it) and unique sounding Mexican ambient (rdr 2 single player just uses Perdido theme), castanetas (I think I spelt it right). Wanted to know what do you think about this.

God now that Rockstar is abandoning Online these assets could have been put to use. Along with a selling horses update Rockstar could have made some money. Terrible wish players could have gotten a hold of the investors or something that would have changed their minds lol

@@pariah87 I play exclusively on PC lol, I don't mod because I still enjoy Online. Maybe when I feel I've done all there is in Online I'll see about the modding community. Hopefully there are some mods eventually that restore some of the cut content.

@@WalrusWinking there's definitely some fun mods to check out, some already restore some stuff ive released a cpl mods, one that takes the invisible wall out around the map, not the slipping yet, and the blocks to the cut intro area and Mt Marston. It also adds the Van Horn lighthouse bridge back. I also have another mod that restores the Strawberry Doctors office, im working on sisika rn
