I remember once I robbed a guy near the swamps, didn't want to kill him, so I tackled him into the swamp and Arthur decided to drown him by pressing his head down into the swamp without me even pressing anything, pretty messed but I didn't lose honor

Imagine drowning and the last thing you see with your blurry vision is the business end of a shotgun in your face. I know you don't lose honor based on the mechanics of "not being involved" with his death, but this really is way more brutal than most of the ways you can kill somebody in this game lol.

Quick tip* instead of having to ride all the way to a river or body of water; just throw them in a pig or horse trough. If they are tied up and you get their head in the water they will drown. Also you can throw bodies in with the pigs and they will dispose of them for you; if you know what I mean...

Normally (without losing honor) I would pull out the lasso and drag along the floor and hold on tight until they drown in water

Fun fact: if you do this while unarmed you will get a drowning animation and if you do it with a knife it will have different animation of you slicing the throat after drowning them

I’ve got a better one I won’t lie I did it on accident but in west Elizabeth I was hunting for cougars there was two people trying to blow open the safe I didn’t want to lose honour but I did want the money so I tried to lasso and hogtie them I lassoed one and yanked him back on to the detonator switch and blew them both up no honour lost

Fishing and throwing the fish back gains you honour like mad though. I think you get about 20 points of honour for greeting 3 people but you get 100 for every fish you throw back. It’s also more relaxing imo and you can sometimes get big ones to keep and cook.
