I don't think it is because he is crazy or that this behavior is strictly a byproduct of drug use. He is trying to re-brand the social norms by placing himself in these situations first hand to see how he feels, reflect upon it, and then deciding for himself how he should feel and behave instead of just taking society's word for it. I think he is more brave and loving than I am, or anyone I have met for that matter. He is trying to show us that the reason we fear what society tells us to fear, is not because what we fear is implicitly dangerous, but because we have been told that bad things will happen if we do these things.

my thoughts exactly, my friend! this behaviour is not a byproduct, it is merely enhanced by drug use and innate craziness :D Also yes, he has such a warm, loving heart. I'm really glad he got out of it all, a childlike, free soul like him would be a terrible thing to lose.

Nice attempt to psychologically analyze, but he has said he was a mess, spinning out of control on heroin, sex addiction and self-loathing. Now he has found himself, peace and sobriety, he is a happily married father, impressing the world with his intelligence, critical thinking and knowledge and curiosity of world events, respected as a media source. He found self worth and the sanity and contentment within himself and then thrived.

I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty. I believe in due process, for everyone, because it protects innocent people aswell as the guilty. However, this is literally what hiding in plain sight means. He's so openly sexual and mad that people assume there's nothing he's hiding. That's not necessarily true. It's a well known tactic of predators so that when people do say something they can say "well everyone knows everything about me" same as people saying he had women throwing themselves at him so he had no reason to assault anyone. Also not true, it's not about sex, it's about power and not taking no for an answer. His whole truther persona, going against the establishment and being a conspiracy theorist could also have been a preemptive move for when the things he did in the past inevitably caught up with him. I don't know if the allegations are true or not, but I do know a couple of comedians who say they've known about him for years. The reasons people are coming up with for him not possibly being guilty, as above, are silly but he definitely shouldn't be assumed guilty already. I do feel bad for him even if he did do it, he probably really regrets it now and has worked really hard to change his life and become a different person but if he did do those things he should maybe have reached out and apologised to the women and could even have prevented this by paying them compensation.

Oh god it's so funny. That's the damnedest thing - it should be horrific, but Russell is so intrinsically an entertainer it's just unfailing funny. Of course, it's probably 100x funnier knowing the podcasts and radio shows of 2006 - present, without that, you've barely scratched the surface of Matt Morgan and Russell Brand. But when you know every anecdote and every retelling of every story... It's such a rich and fulfilling friendship. Godbless Russell and Matt, and Gee and Trevor, and every other significant player in this great web. Russell and the team have aged so well, and are still cutting-edge comedy for me today, where many of their contemporaries have fallen behind... Shame about ol' Trev, mind you his stand-up act is still fucking dynamite, if you miss him just go and watch him play, I promise he'll be in your city soon because he tours like a beast, so go and watch him... I've had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times now, and whilst he's not the clown they portrayed him as, he's still every bit as funny as he was back then. I just love this show. Any other fans out there feeling me? I think Russell has been the single biggest influence on my sense of humor since I was about 16. I love seeing his clumsy grasp on politics in these old shows - whilst he still has his sticking points that bother me, today the Trews or Under The Skin, or just his conversations with Paul McKenna or other interesting guests on The Russell Brand Show are really healing, exciting, invigorating spiritually-driven approaches to life that are so revitalizing (If a little bit dream-spangled). Anyway fuck it I have to go now, but I love you all

Everyone is asking what the song is at 13 mins, I don't know but I'm gonna look it up coz it very much reminds me of the beginning of Screech's Tale by Ren. The melody is very, very similar to the part where he sings "our story it starts, right at the end, of the tale of poor Jenny, clocked out like Big Ben" I wouldn't be surprised if it inspired Ren. Imagine if he'd been watching this and heard it 😅 unlikely but it's a funny thought.

Back when he was an addict he did far, far more. I'm not judging him for that, just saying that some of the more dramatic moments here after he tosses the guy off in the toilet are played up for the camera, but it wasn't really new ground for Russ.

Let's get a point across......Mr Brand's drug of choice is heroin and while doing any of these Re:Brand social experiments and interviews including close ups of his eyes and face and his speech.....his energy is always upbeat and fast paced ....so I'm not seeing him high during filming.......however this is the time period he was getting & his addiction to drugs put him on the slope! If you look at a documentary of his life....he freebases and his appearance matches ie..sideburns, hair & youthful face! IM STILL A BRAND FAN THOUGH!! I'm happy today he is drug free and recognizes his addiction 2 drugs aren't his only 1. Notice I said that in present tense? If they quit it they surely will replace it with another. He suffers NOT from the actual addiction (drugs or sex) BUT of an "Addictive Personality" meaning it's a genetic defect 2 recognize the traits of it which are: Impulsive Behavior, Sensation Seeking, Valuing Non Conformity, & Compulsive Behavior and he suffers each & every1!

@melodyvalentine8779
@melodyvalentine8779 Жыл бұрын
@@PechilvrsPreciousPeepsNursery You're talking absolute bollocks. I can tell you're not an addict. You can still be hyper and alert, or just normal, on heroin. Once you're physically dependant it just takes away the withdrawal. Also, Russell took loads of drugs, not just heroin, it just meant he needed more help stopping heroin because of the withdrawal process. There's no reason to believe he's not on coke here aswell as smack. Addictive personality is literally just an addict. It's not a birth defect or whatever nonsense you said. It's just a coping mechanism for filling whatever void or covering whatever childhood trauma you have. Addicts are made in childhood, not born. A baby can be born dependant on the medication their mother took during pregnancy but have a perfect childhood and never use drugs in their life. Russell used drugs to feel good about himself, he had low self esteem and a weirdo dad who took him to brothels. Then it was sex. Now he's learned healthier coping mechanisms. My main point is that you really can't judge if someone is on heroin or not by their level of energy. I used to not be able to function at all til I had heroin then I could immediately get up and do it all the second it kicked in. Nobody knew for a long time. It's not just all nodding off like people think. That's a total myth and one of the main reasons people can hide an addiction from people so easily coz it's all they look for.
