He is a total narcissist who uses people as if they were throwaway items. He is a horrible person and looks like he will be doing a long stretch in prison. He is another Ian Watkins. These people become famous and have girls throwing themselves at them but forget these girls are humans and just use them for whatever they want. I sort of blame the girls for letting it happen but a 16 yr old schoolgirl is a child and brand was in his 30s. He is a nonce. Another saville/watkins.

Sad. Funny. Warming. Moving. Touching. Enlightening. An emotional rollercoaster ride. There were two moments when you realise that Wendy had reached a stage in life where she herself realised she was beginning to face her own mortality. Her admission of no longer feeling sexy demonstrated that she knew her star was waning and she couldn't make up for lost time any more. There was a slight hint of a look of resignation at that point and it was as though she felt akin to an over-ripened fruit - no longer fit for consumption. Then, at the end, as she admits to "already missing" Russell, the slight quiver in her voice shows she acknowledges the journey has come to an end and that, in all likelihood, that was the last time she would feel that rush of excitement one gets when young and vibrant with a full life ahead to live. Lesson learned? You're born; You live; You die; You're gone. And it sucks not being able to do anything about that.

She's a vibrant woman. Who's to say those sexy days are done. If you are open to new experiences new experiences will find you. Don't give up on Wendy. She will find intimacy again in her own way. I really hope she did. Whatever intimacy she craves I hope she found.
@aboemusic8 жыл бұрын
BeakerInShortShorts Sounds to me like you got the wrong end of the stick, so to speak. I was commenting on what I thought I saw her to be experiencing - "it was as though she felt...", and "the slight quiver in her voice shows she acknowledges...". She is a vibrant woman, you're right. I also hope that she, and others like her, find what it is they are looking for. But life allots us only a certain amount of time... The mind may be willing but there comes a time when the body can no longer follow. My comments were an observation of what I saw to be that moment being experienced through Wendy, generally. It's nice that you haven't given up on her, but hope can only do so much. Reality soon sets in and it's cruel, which was another of my points - we don't like it but that is the way it is.

Thank you so much for posting the Re: Brand! I'm absolutely a Brand fan! This/He has been very educational then and now! It shocks me people think in Mr Brand just now is embarking on any agenda but it's obvious he had his intellect and wit and curiosity and had points of views forming then to the present! His use of shock isn't all that shocking when you listen to Wendy! I wish people today would engage in recording social experiences!

A great comment, I feel the same. I guess they’re trending because they’re the edgiest stuff when he was at his most addicted. Rewatching them in the light of these accusations is complex and confusing. Wendy seems like a superstar, I wonder if she’s still with us. This was odd, and made me feel uncomfortable at times, but generally incredibly insightful. This is the guy I used to love, now I don’t know how to feel

Basically, she was strong to resist Mr Brand 😊 Being older doesn't mean we cannot fall in love .😊 Love doesn't have to be vaginal sex , vaginal sex is what young whippets want 😊 As we get older closeness together is often cuddles and hugs most importantly laughter 😊 and companions.

Even 20 years ago, someone in their early 70s was the equivalent of somebody in their early 90s now. Then (early 2000s), you'd think life was basically over if someone reached 70, but in 2023 70-year-olds are basically how 50-year-olds used to be. It's all very strange.
