Finally the last part of this buildlog is finished. This time it's all about some finishing touches as well as a short presentation of the final printer, the BraunsBot 2.1. Enjoy!
CAD file: drive.google.c...
But please use this file only as a rough guidance because in the beginning I did not planned to release it and therefore some parts are obsolete or completely missing.

hello. I have a couple of questions ... how you set the marlin to support parking nozzle? and how to manage the moving of to hot end with one stepper motor?

This is an awsome build. Great job. I just wonder why dual motor in parallel for the X axis. Symmetrical aesthetic or just for fun?

Thanks! When designing this printer I was a bit afraid that one motor wouldn’t be powerful enough. Now I am pretty sure that one motor would be enough.

@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 6 жыл бұрын

Where did you buy that plate for build surface ? Thank you!
@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 6 жыл бұрын
That steel plate came out of my scrap bin. It's important that the plate is as level as possible and a little bendy.
@Slavko_Husam
@Slavko_Husam 6 жыл бұрын
Brauns CNC And could you point me where to get similiar, to bend.. just name or whatever is called.. Thanks !
@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 6 жыл бұрын
I used a 1mm thick galvanized steel plate, but if you don't mind paying a little bit more I would suggest a spring steel plate instead. It is easier to bend and will always snap back into a flat plate. (If you bend a normal steel plate too far it might won't be level after that)

Wow that was insanely cool way to have 2x extruders! Can you please share your configuration file/ make a movie on how to do that whit the electro magnet??? i would love to use that on my upcomming build
@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 6 жыл бұрын
Great that you like it! It's really simple, this is how a basic Simplify3D tool change script would look like: {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 X181.5 F4000 ;Move to the parking position of the 2nd extruder {IF NEWTOOL=1}M42 P6 S255 ;Turn on the magnet {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 X181.5 F4000 ;Move to the parking position of the 2nd extruder {IF NEWTOOL=0}M42 P6 S0 ;Turn off the magnet I think this code is quite self-explanatory and you should be able to do something like this in most other slicers aswell. M42 P6 Sx just sets pin 6 on the Arduino Mega to value x. Pin 6 in turn is connected to a Mosfet which will activate/deactive the electromagnet. The only other thing I did was to configure the offsets from the second to the first extruder in the firmware of the printer and that's basically all there is to do. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask and good luck with your build ;).

@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 5 жыл бұрын
@frankvonthienen3862
@frankvonthienen3862 5 жыл бұрын
@leonbrauns
@leonbrauns 5 жыл бұрын
