Buffet sadness. Still, love seeing you guys on trail. I wish my legs were long and doing that many miles. I just got back from doing about 30 miles in the Winds. For the first time ever, I just said, eff it and made coffee in my vestibule and drank it while looking out of my tent in the morning. Why didn't I begin doing this sooner?! Thanks for taking us along and making it mellow.

Another great hiking vid, Darwin! We also hiked the trail recently, about the same time you were there I think, and we truly lucked out on the weather,,,beautiful blue skies the entire time. You're right about those spicy climbs, especially the hike out. Asskicker indeed, sir lol. This was our first West Coast hike and Ma Nature did not disappoint, our favorite trail so far and we were lucky to get such great footage. It was fun seeing the trail again through your eyes. We also missed the buffet, but luckily the upstairs bar was open and we had a chance to get a hot meal. Cheers!

Awesome team! Wait till you’re 50+, it’s all extra spicy 😂. There’s a great Huckleberry Inn restaurant at Govt Camp that was a godsend after the hike. Hike On!!

Love that trail. I try and do it at least once every year. The Eliot washout was a real bummer - closed the trail for many years until it was rerouted. I'm glad they finally got around to putting a rope in on the embankment at Eliot. That final climb up to Timberline is why I prefer to go CCW! I was doing Trail Magic at Lolo Pass that week. Most hikers ever in one day. At least 50. Fire bubble combined with Trail Days.

The Timberline is an hour from my house so I do at least part if not all of it every year. It was nice to see it through someone else’s eyes!

Thanks for sharing the trip! I met you at PCT Days 2019 after your first hike, and you asked me if I had done the trail. My answer, No. But 5 days later I fixed that problem and finished the trail in two and a half days. Luckily I made the Timberline buffet and shared lunch with a few PCT Sobo's! For what it's worth, I think CCW around the mountain sets up a little better for the 2.5 day hike. Last summer we did clockwise in three nights and made the breakfast buffet with no issue. Cheers!

Awesome you got to do it again, love seeing the footage! Did the Timberline as my first long-distance hike a month or so ago now and had an absolute blast, it was mostly clear so the views were spectacular, albeit a bit hot. I can't wait to get back out to do it CCW! Looks like there are still going to be good days this year, so hopefully I can before the weather turns. I brought everything to camp, but really wanted to make it in one day was to get back home to my cat. Wanted to go from Top Spur to Top Spur CW, but started a bit late (7:30 am) and only made it to the Sandy River by 8:30 pm, so I didn't want to risk crossing it that late in the dark + it was a 37 mile day. I decided to just cowboy camp on the banks of the Sandy. Saw the stars and the sunrise on Mt. Hood, so it was well worth it. I only got pizza from the Blue Ox Bar, which was awesome and huge, but I'd love to hit the buffet now next time.

I did this a few years ago counterclockwise starting at cloud cap. That thing you roped down I had to climb up. Was the hardest part for me. With our start, the lodge was 3/4 through our hike so a very nice stop before going on to complete.

So why did you retire the Altaplex tent? You never said in the video!? I bought it 3 years ago based on your recommendation and have regretted it ever since, because of all the condensation and because at 6'5, it's too small for me, even though supposedly it's for tall people like me!?
