Re-imagining: EL7Z UP - The Debut Album

I wanted to clarify since someone brought it up: so far official articles have only come out about EL7Z UP being managed by Wake One and their music distributors being Genie and Stone Music. Currently their social media accounts only follow LM Entertainment, a subsidiary of Stone Music, and they will be handling their Japanese showcase and have posted about the group on their own socials. However, Stone Music is part of Wake One and the name currently only refers to the in-house music distribution as the management company was merged into Wake One. So... idk either way Wake One is involved... somehow...

They just need a powerful title track. Something that has a "boom" factor. They don't need heavy beats. They just need a strong song and the rest will be history. A cute concept won't do much because of how old they are. If you've watched the whole show, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say "a powerful song".

I would say a powerful song with deep bridges in charge of Kei and Hwiseo/Yeonhee mainly like in snap and also good dance breaks and ending movements since they have eye catching performers like Nana, Yeoreum and Hwiseo, and finally with a dinamic rap between Yeeun and Yuki with some contrast between them would be great

I didnt follow the show but oh my god the lineup is crazzzyyy imagine WakeOne fumbling THIS one 😅 Unfortunately the songs at the end is most likely what we gonna get. But still props to you for having a vision and demanding kpop to try to be creative.

I originally wanted Nana to be the center since she has both the visual and the stage presence but now I think Hwiseo is a better choice for that position, since Nana needs to work more on her facial expressions (like sometimes she opens her eyes VERY WIDE and stares straight into the camera so often (Bad Blood, Billionaire, etc.) so it could make people uncomfortable) and I don’t think she fits that well into mature concepts which are likely the direction for this group. No hate to her though

Hwiseo is still on her first year as an idol and I believe she still can grow a lot skillwise so lead position plus fotg and center are nice position. As for main rapper, whoever get main rapper one thing for sure both Yuki and Yeeun definitely capable and this group really have a Amazing vocal, dance and rap line

I agree with your positions for the girls even tho I personaly kinda see Yeoreum as the fotg but Hweiso definetly could get that as well aspecially cuz as the #1 spot like u mentioned it would be like a reward she deserved. I think all of these ideas sound a little dated. A girl crush concept is almost guaranteed when we have Hwiseo, Yuki and Yeeun. Especially when in MNET and Survival show fashion Rank 1 dominates the first song and Hwiseo shined so much in the GC concepts in the show. The ideal sound is something like Secret Number's "Got that Boom" & "Who dis" but fresher? Like something G-Idle would sing. At the very least a middle point between "So bad" by Stayc and "In Bloom" by ZB1 is what I hope we get. Not making Hwiseo center is almost criminal when we all knew from the first episode Nana was gonna coast through the competition and we truly thought Korea was gonna vote her rank one and Hwiseo beating her to it was arguably the only twist this show had. Korea loves an underdog story more than they like a visual. For her to go from the worst ranked performance, to Rank 1 and not be center is rude lol. It can be an Iz*One moment in which we have a center and a main vocalist, yet we will give the first chorus constantly to the lead vocal/main dancer (Eunbi = Nana).

I love your concept and song choices! In my opinion, the royalty concept would probably fit every member the best. Here are my choices: 1. Snap - Queendom Puzzle [intro song] 2. Hurt Locker - 9Muses [title] 3. GRWM - Gfriend 4. Express 999 - SNSD 5. Shadow - F(x) 6. Salty N Sweet - aespa 7. Cheap Creeper - SNSD [English track] 8. Bad Blood - Queendom Puzzle [promoted B-side] 9. Last Waltz - TWICE 10. Perfect 10 - Red Velvet Repackage additional tracks: 1. Brave New World - Brown Eyed Girls [title] 2. Look - Red Velvet 3. Rewind - TWICE 4. Daydream - IZ*ONE 5. Forever - SNSD The more elegant and feminine songs would highlight Yeonhee or Kei, the more bright and charismatic ones would especially suit Nana, the more badass ones would highlight Hwiseo, Yeeun and Yuki, and the sultry ones would actually highlight the newly found sensual sides of Yeoreum too. That’s why I do choose a wide range of songs that fit this royalty and young lady-like vibe. Also, these are the positions i’d give them: Kei: leader, main vocalist Yeeun: main rapper, vocalist, center Yeoreum: main dancer, vocalist, rapper Yeonhee: lead vocalist, sub rapper Nana: main dancer, visual, sub rapper, lead vocalist Hwiseo: lead vocalist, face of the group Yuki: maknae, lead rapper, lead dancer

I'm not sure, but I don't think they are going to be under Wakeone since their official insta is following LM Ent.🤔 When are they gonna debut? I thought it was September, so idk why I assumed the beginning of the month. Controversial opinion, but I've seen some ppl call her "all rounder" to which she is indeed close, yet her rapping (Red queen performing Black Pink) was not really "IT", maybe cuz it was all in English and to me it looked like she was not fully comfortable and confident doing?! She herself wanted to be a vocal. Maybe with practice (if she wants and imo), she can do a great job at rapping! - Nana, to me, seems "uncomfortable/awkward" IN THE BEGINNING of almost every performance, but gets to the groove zone real fast after that. Additionally, I think her facial expression needs just the tiniest bit more work. The same comments about the all- rounder apply here. It just needs work. Visual for sure! - Kei... I agree with what you said for her when it comes to the leader role. I'm torn between her (for the reasons you pointed out) and someone else for "having what it take to be a real leader" since I'm honestly not sure Kei really fits that role fully.
