Tbf to Seoyeon, this episode was recorded sometime late April (we know this becaus Jiwoo and Seoyeon are introduced as in only ahving debuted 70 day earlier. Rising came out 13th Feb + 70 days that makes April 24th.) Cherry talk came out 5th of May, so honestly they were still practising this for their own release. I do not get why they made her perform this song. Would've been better if she did like Frankenstein, she did a great cover of that , so just focusing on vocals and no dance would have been better for her. Also the shoes..... Makes me question if this stage is the erason why the kre girls didn't wear any heels on their very few Cherry talk performances.

About Jiwoo's stage I really think most girl's downvoted her because he face was hidden for a bit of her performance. Facial expressions and being 'cute' or 'sexy' on your face is what most people think of and pay attention when girl idols dance, so Jiwoo saying 'fawk that look at my dancing only' was kinda cvnt. Like she really said 'focus on ME'. I also love her tomboy personality. She really appears super feminine when you look at her from afar but apparently she is horrible at dressing herself (which she admitted) and constantly cracks self deprecating jokes, TripleS got some potential. Plus I love my fellow tall girls, Jiwoo my 5'8 awkward queen in training. Also I am praying Dohwa/Chanmi gets a redemption arc like she did not go through hell at FNC for over a decade to flop and slip into nugudom, same with Jooe and that hellhole of MLD entertainment

IU's song was a good choice for her, but I think she takes herself a little too seriously and doesn't realize she often sounds juvenile when she attempts songs made for more mature/rounded/sultry voices. That's why opera singers are divided by vocal color, after all. voices like kei's and bora's aren't interchangeable and bring something completely different to their performances. That's also why her "there must be only one main vocal" thing doesn't really make sense.

When you first get vocal lessons, if your teacher is good, he will test your voice and see what notes you can hit more easily( that shows if youre a soprano, mezzo, Alto, etc. which basically tells your range from high to low on the piano keys) and how your voice actually sounds( my voice type, for example, has been set as a soprano leggero(? It's Italian,idk, but there are many types) which means I have a voice that naturally sounds bright and nasal( the term is metallic, really). It also covers aspects as lightness( which impacts how good you sound all over your vocal extension. Leggeros have light voices that are very agile in the mid range but that can go high only a little before sounding like a siren-sounds familiar? Lol. We also can't really go low since the voice loses it's projection. - imagine youre trying to mimic Felix's voice. Sounds bad and it's even damaging.) Opera singers are typed and casted so the character matches the voice, and the singers won't hurt themselves trying to hit uncomfortable notes + is certain theyll give the right impression for the characters. They'd literally have the voice types beside the characters name, It's serious stuff. You see, my voice is suitable for bright and young characters, so I'd struggle if I had to sing a typical villain song in a production of sorts, and same goes for someone that has a very dark tone trying to come off as sweet. It'd sound like they're mocking someone.

It's crystal clear Bora's voice is very bright and metallic and, tho she has good technique, she often goes borderline siren and doesn't really round her voice up much. If you listen to Athena's snap you'll see her and Elly have similar colors, but the latter uses her voice in the mid range( which is actually recommended for voices like theirs, because it sounds more pleasing and effortless- singing shouldnt hurt!) and goes up by rounding it up( her adlibs are really nice!) Elly's nickname is also related to a bird exactly because her voice sounds like a bird chirping(how sweet is that?), and she also uses that very light and high as an impression maker in some of wkmks tracks(oopsy, for example). But you can't go too low or too high all the time, because it sounds unpleasant to the ears. That's mostly what you're getting from Bora. She's good, but her voice simply doesn't have enough weight for her to be singing a lot of vocal heavy songs. But that's an important part of her image as a main vocalist. It's also important to add that range can't really change that much, no matter how well you're trained. What you get it's what you're stuck with, you just gotta accept and use it well. That's why it's not fair to judge a singer by how high or low they can go, but how good(supported!) they actually sound in how they choose to use their voices.
