Was cheering to my monitor when you landed the first one! Nice job dude.

Slams are nasty. So grabbing the nose is the key. Good job!

I definitely wouldn't have landed it again if I didn't suck it up and grab the nose!

Awesome bro. My 7 year old is trying to learn this now. I'll have to show this to him. I myself am not there yet. I'm still trying to get an axle stall lol

Thanks, man! That’s awesome he’s trying it at 7. We all gotta start somewhere! When I put this ramp in my best trick was a Bs Pivot, so I’ve come a long way in a few years. Stick with it every trick is fun!

I cant do blunt to fakie but a golden rule of rock to fakie is never lean over the nose of the board on the return with your head., too much weight on your front wheels, skid out. So brave and great at committing ❤

We’ll I’m (barely) living proof that it’s true for blunt fakies too!

Nice one! I’m still struggling with pivot fakies, but this one is next on the list! 😃
@GrawrD Жыл бұрын
That’s the way I did it, dude! You get feeble fakie yet?
@robbertharte Жыл бұрын
Yep that was the first step. Now landing a couple of pivot fakies each session, so trying te get more consistant at those first 😃

Loving these videos, I know you said it's a 3 foot ramp, but what's the transition? I'm aiming to build my own.
@GrawrD5 ай бұрын
Thanks! MY ramp has 6 foot transitions. I roughly followed the plans here: diyskate.com/mini_03.html

Love your work, all your videos are cool. How tall/high is your ramp - 3ft or 4ft? Hard to judge!
@GrawrD Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Appreciate it. My ramp is 3ft. Feels like the perfect size to learn on but your tricks still translate to bigger stuff.

What height and radius is that mini?
@GrawrDАй бұрын
3 ft with a 6 ft radius. Feels just about perfect!

I have a 2 foot garage ramp with 6 foot radius that I think I have sort of outgrown. Can’t decide if 3 or 3.5 would be the next best upgrade.

@@accn69 if you can try and skate a mellow 5ft. It's probably the most common mini in my experience. A whippy 5ft is a bit gnarly for learning, probably a no go if you're used to more mellow ramps like me. It can be intimidating but shallow ramps will block your progression if you never take them to bigger ramps, where many tricks are actually easier. Rock to fakies and rock n rolls are really hard tricks on smaller ramps for example. Blunts too I believe but I can't blunt.

@@accn69 if you're able to do bread and butter tricks on a 2ft then don't waste your time with a such a tiny upgrade. You're probably looking for something steeper at the coping. You could get a really whippy 3ft, but I feel like those make good quarters and your legs would burn off trying to skate a mini like that
